EQS Pre-order Thread

1. EQS 580 - MSRP ---- This dealer has confirmed if they get the Edition 1 they will provide that to me at MSRP as well. They just need to wait to confirm they are getting Edition 1 vehicle (and in blue)
2. EQS 580 Edition 1 - MSRP+5K
They don't really seem to know anything other then that.
I contacted literally every dealer in my state and best I could get was MSRP. Some wouldn't commit to anything and just "We will charge you market price when it arrives" aka MSRP+some insane markup. Others would commit for some insane MSRP markups of 10-20+K for base models and 50K for Edition 1.
Anyone able to get a dealer to commit to below MSRP?

One of the reasons I created this thread is that I am curious how demand will develop for this car. If it turns out like the Taycan then it will be in short supply for a while after launch.
My dealer said she would offer me an Edition 1 if they get one, but to be honest I think I prefer the Matte gray option.

But now I am wondering if they are too retro for this car. Whenever I look at the two-tone edition 1 it looks like a modern car masquerading as a retro car.
I am considering switching to the 22" wheels. While the 22" wheels are low profile, the tire wall is about the same as the 21" on my Panamera so I don't think it will be an issue for me.
697 Center Console in Natural Grain Yacht-Design Brown Walnut Wood,
69U Neva Grey Microfiber Headliner,
596 Infrared glass,
445 MBUX Augmented Reality Head-Up Display,
443 Heated Steering Wheel,
21U Dashcam,
18R 21" 10-Spoke Wheels with Energy Blue Accents,
R01 Range-Optimized Summer Tires,
P87 MANUFAKTUR Interior Package,
P24 Automatic Front/Rear Comfort Doors,
PBS ENERGIZING COMFORT,
H39 Natural Grain Yacht-Design Brown Walnut with Aluminum Lines.
Honestly, at this point there are only two things that could stop me from getting the car:
1. Price is way off of what is expected
2. The Steering assist feature sucks. There are only two things I loved about my Teslas I had: A. Electric (Check!) B. Autopilot (Porsche's Innodrive is total garbage on the Taycan we have, Supercruise is nice, Bluecruise will be nice, I've heard BMW is decent, Polestar's is non-existent, Lucid should be good)

The wheels for either Edition One configuration look good to me.
Good looking wheel, maybe my favorite but you have to see a wheel in person to be sure.
This wheel goes well with the two-tone paint.

I'm leaning with the 22" 5 spoke wheels, I really think it gives the car a sportier look. my only concern is you have a thinner tire (or whatever the term is), which is again a sportier look but how negatively does it effect the ride. I have 22" 275/40 on my Land Rover and it rides very nice, but that is a larger tire than the 5 spoke. Again you almost have to drive one to see for yourself.
The AMG wheels look like an option you would be kicking yourself for getting every time you had to clean them. and how would you get to the calipers to clean them?
