Would like to order EQS 450...but
A couple local MB dealers (Houston area) have EQS 450 allocations...but I want the hyperscreen option and apparently you can't yet order the 450 with the hyperscreen. That is the only restriction holding my order. Have any of you heard when/if that restriction might be removed?

Some dealers are receiving EQS450+ demo’s with Hyperscreens, however it is very rare. If you were to buy their demo car that would be the only way to get a Hyperscreen in a 450+ at the moment.
With the chip shortage still being pretty bad I would say it could be anywhere from 1-2 years until a Hyperscreen becomes optional again.
MB is doing a 2-year lease program that you could take advantage of, you would still have to wait for a Hyperscreen but you’d still get to drive an EQS when they first come out and then swap it for a Hyperscreen equipped model.

If you haven't already, test drive a 450+ without the Hyperscreen. The standard (non-hyperscreen) configuration looks and works very well. It's the configuration used in the new S Class.

Yes...I thought about that. But...I can't seen to accept the "iPad-like" screens. I'm sure it functions great...but I can't get past the tablet-like look. It's kinda funny...but I'm not the biggest fan of the hyperscreen either...but I dislike the hyperscreen less than I dislike the standard display. Oh well...I guess I have a long wait.

I think the non-Hyperscreen interior actually looks pretty slick with the light up three-pointed star trim.

It does look good and it's easy to reach the center screen. Access to the charging pad is a bit cramped but other than that, it works.
Is that the EQS AMG 53?

That's a nicely optioned 450+. It's an early enough VIN number to have gotten the comfort doors before they were constrained. E-Price is $165,705. $50K ADM.
