No More AM Radio
I was setting the stations in my 580 EQS and realized that there is no AM Radio mode.
Apparently the AM spectrum is too prone to static from the electric motors and most manufacturers are leaving it out.
I suppose as the EV market grows this classic broadcast medium is going to fade away.
Is it still a viable music and entertainment medium in any country any more?

I listen to my own music but FM radio is thriving near me with over 30 stations. They are mostly music. AM radio stations here are usually talk, ethnic (Greek or Spanish) or local low power stations. There are many of them as well.

We have a fantastic Public Radio FM station here in San Antonio which brodcasts wonderful classical music 24 hours a day. Sounds great on the Burmester while in traffic in the quiet of the EQS interior!

Nothing wrong with Apple Music through CarPlay.... I am not going to activate the Sirius promotional offer, I had it in my previous 2 cars and never used it. Ever since I had Slacker in my first Tesla I got hooked on the wonders of commercial free music.

AM broadcasts are used throughout the US for local highway construction project updates.
