My 2021 GLS is the same. It's the new "algorithm." There is one positive to it, though; on the previous version, the self steering would disengage without telling you, now you get beeped right away.

Wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of the storage space beneath the front center console? From pictures and videos, it appears to have a strap and 2 additional USB C ports. Just wondering if there is enough room/width for a regular size iPad? thx

How about stop and go city driving? It’s suppose to be greatly improved.

Yes & No. Car was saying that I had 270m of range but I didn't want to risk it so charged up. I have now made about 1000mi of winter midwest highway driving.

Real Life Sporty driving @ 35F-45F on winter tires...

Range
70mph - 270-300mi
80mph - 250-270mi

For how long does it drive itself on the highway without touching the steering wheel? When this system warns you to get ahold of the steering wheel, do you actually have to grab the wheel or is it just a touch? I believe the only difference between your build and mine is that yours has the AMG interior and mine does not. Thanks.
I ordered Energizing Comfort and still haven't figured out if I have it. My glove box has a whole in the upper left but I haven't figured if/how to connect the flacon. I have a weird electronic gizmo on the upper right side of the glove box that has four buttons/leds. I had to fly to Asia before figuring what it was.

Thanks for posting this. We are about to do our first really long road trip going from Houston to Durango so I am curious how it is going to do in the cold. Sounds like the key here is really making sure I watch the speed and I am running the 21 inch wheels so that is going to hurt but I also don't have winter tires.

Those are actually quite good numbers for winter conditions. You should not fear running out of juice unless you are "flogging" the vehicle. The computer does a very good and fairly conservative range estimate, ergo; you can trust it to not leave you stranded. If it tells you, you can reach a certain charger, it will.

1) Color - I went for Designo Grey. This is my 1st car w/ Matt finish and was apprehensive of maintenance but loved the look, This color is amazing on the EQS and changes significantly between titanium taint and grey. I opted to fully protect the paint with XPEL Satin and XPEL ceramic coating on the PPF.

2) Modifications - I love AMG Night package but it isn't available in the US on EQS580 (only on EQS AMG) so I got the windows tainted and "de-chromed" the one-bow with black PPF. I love it, my sons love it but my wife says it looks cheesy - Curious to get your opinion.

3) Winter Wheels - I am in the midwest and a believer in winter tires - I ordered the EQS AMG 19" long range wheels from Germany and mounted them with OE Pirelli Scorpios. These are the wheels MB uses to achieve the highest range in Europe. 19" is ideal for midwest winters.

3) I have the rear seat package and performed a measurement to give you a sense of how much the seats recline. At the top of the seat you can recline 2.5" (~ 6 cm) - Huge difference in comfort. My sons are 6' and 6'3" and fit well in the back.

4) Rear seat functions (Pinnacle + Rear Package) - tons of amazing comfort features - neck warming - different massage types - highly configurable lumbar support - Awesome

Seat Forward

Sear Backward

5) Air filtration and monitoring - Out of this world capabilities - Shames my Tesla "BioHazard" filtration

Will conduct a real-life 270mi midwest cold weather range test and share results at the end of the month (Tesla Model S 100d - Can't pass this test)

I can share that the long wait for my EQS was worth it!
i think this car is beautiful in person. Somehow Mercedes vehicles does not look appetizing in photos compared to in person. Congrats, enjoy!!

@avilent is there a way to change the wheel size to 19" in the MBUX? I cannot find anything in there. My previous cars (Taycan, Tesla) had an option to select wheel size. I just swapped for winter. The pressure is working, but I wonder if there are other settings that need to be adjusted when running on 19"

There is no need overall diameter is the same. 19 in wheels have a higher aspect ratio tire.

They look smaller than the 21" when mounted - more space in the wheel arches.....

There is a range (which I dont know the exact number) which is considered acceptable for the system to function correctly. Probably + /- 1 cm or so. MB would not supply you an OEM set that would require adjustment. If it did they would let you know. Germans are particularly **** about these things. If you havent noticed, there are numerous pages in the manual concerning tires😁
