Have you successfully charged your EQS on 110 V in hot weather?

One of the complaints on the Lucid forum is that during hot weather trying to charge on 110 V does not work. Apparently the cooling fans and cooling pump for the batteries uses up enough electricity that even after 10 to 12 hours there is no gain to the actual batteries. Has anyone on this forum charged their EQS on 110 V during hot weather successfully? Apparently Tesla and other brands do not have this problem.

110 volt charging is fine in Dallas TX when it was over 100 degrees in the garage last month. I don't use the 110 charging cord since I have a Chargepoint Flex but I wanted to see if still worked and I was happy there was no issue. I only charged from 70% to 80% and it took several hours.

Does the EQS come with 110v or 220v charging cords for road trips where commercial chargers are not available? I have read yes and no.

110v. It’s basically worthless. I never intend to use it.

I will be driving in areas with no chargers so planning on carrying a spare 110v and 220v set up. I realize they suck as far as charge times but better than being stuck waiting a day for a tow. Big Bend National Park does have RV sites with 14-50 plugs but the spaces are generally taken.

Don't know if Lajitas has them. There are four destination chargers behind the Limpia Hotel in Ft. Davis. I don't know of any in Big Bend or Marathon. Don't know about Alpine. I have used my 110V charger several times. It is not useless, but is very limited. Overnight, I was able to get about 10% to 12% charge. It sustained me initially, when I bought my car in January, until my Chargepoint Homeflex arrived three weeks later.

yes and that 110v is optional. I didn’t order it with my car because it is worthless.

although it does have some value - it is a good battery tender.

There are destination chargers at hotels in Marathon and Alpine but from there it’s 80 miles and 104 miles from those towns just to the Park headquarters at Panther Junction. Distances in the Chihuahuan Desert are far apart. Oddly enough I have seen two Model 3’s there and have no idea how they made it around the park.

Unfortunately, I did order it since I was not well informed of its capabilities at the time. I can’t understand why Mercedes would offer such a worthless option for a charging cord.

I ordered one too but it was deleted from the build due to lack of availability.

I did too... Not the first or last useless thing I buy....
I also bought a 40 amp Teslatap on Ebay. Mostly useless since tesla destination chargers vary and are up to 80. Live and learn..... The mini version can use any Tesla destination charger even the ones labelled as "Tesla only".

Tesla used to supply a charger and charging cord with adapters in a bag with each car they sold.

They offered on their store several other adaptors. I used it on a Tesla and it did well. Connected to a clothes dryer outlet. They can be bought from the Tesla Store for approx $200 bucks. No, I'm not pushing Tesla stuff on a Mercedes forum.
