Hey Mercedes, Tell me a Joke

Boredom set in, and my kid asked Mercedes, "Hey Mercedes, tell me a funny joke." In its natural language, it told her a joke about why scientist don't trust atoms . . . atoms make up everything. So she asked Mercedes again, "Tell me another funny joke." In its natural language, Mercedes told her a joke about why bicycles are always laying down . . . . because its two (too) tires.

I opted in for the beta ChatGPT in the app. Have you discovered anything outrageous yet?

The jokes were around before the Beta program. What I have noticed since the program started is smarter nav guidance.

My favorites so far are:

"Why did the tomato blush? It saw the salad dressing!"
"Did you hear about the cheese factory that exploded in France? There was nothing but des brie."
"What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta."
"Sausage puns are the wurst."

"What do you call a bear with no teeth? A gummy bear."

https://benz-yourself.com/blogs/blog...cedes-commands

I'm not sure if every one of these prompts or commands is valid as this is a long list.

State-Of-The-Art Voice Control

Voice control has never been so easy and intuitive as in the new infotainment system from Mercedes-Benz. Just talk to your language assistant in your usual colloquial language and give him commands. Activate the assistant with a simple "Hey Mercedes" or press the MBUX button on the steering wheel.

After that you can issue commands like:
  • "I'm cold. Turn on the heating.”
  • Do you answer queries "How many degrees should I set the heating to"?
  • With your desired temperature x
  • Your desired command will then be executed.

Which Voice Commands Are Possible?

Restaurant suggestions, Read and dictate text messages, Control of Calls, Music requests, Navigation, Temperature control, Time of the next service appointment, Range of the tank filling, Weather forecast, Currently allowed speed and many more …

Navigate Me To:

  • Navigate me home.
  • Navigate me to the nearest gas station.
  • Navigate me to the nearest ATM.

Calls:

  • Call "Person X".

Climate Commands:

  • Activate the seat heating/seat climate control.
  • Set the air conditioner to (x) degrees.
  • Turn the fan up a notch.

Ambient Lighting:

  • Set the ambient light to blue.

Media Commands:

  • Change the radio station to (x).
  • Play the next song
  • Decrease the volume/ Increase the volume

Driver Assistance Commands:

  • Show me the driving assistance setting.

Ask Your Car:

  • What will the weather be like tomorrow in (x)?
  • Show me the motor data.
  • When is my next service appointment?
  • What is the current consumption?
  • Play a game with me*

Funny Questions Are Also Possible:

  • How does an elephant do?
  • Who's your father?
  • How old are you?
  • What do you think of BMW/Audi?
  • Play a game with me

You Want More Commands?

  • "Hey Mercedes, tell me a joke."
  • "Hey Mercedes, make me a sandwich."
  • "Hey Mercedes, sing me a song."
  • "Hey Mercedes, how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, what's the meaning of life?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you rap for me?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you give me your best impression of a chicken?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you believe in aliens?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, tell me a horror story."
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you do a magic trick?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, what's your favorite color?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you do a voice impression of a cartoon character?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, what's the weather like on Mars?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you have a favorite emoji?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, what's the capital of Burkina Faso?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you tell me a bedtime story?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, what's your favorite type of pizza?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you have any good pickup lines?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you teach me a new dance move?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you have any embarrassing moments from your childhood?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, what's the time?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, set navigation to home."
  • "Hey Mercedes, how much fuel do I have left?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, how much is my car worth?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, I'm hungry."
  • "Hey Mercedes, play some Pop music"
  • "Hey Mercedes, I'm thirsty."
  • "Hey Mercedes, is it going to rain today?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, how far away am I from home?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, turn off the air conditioning."
  • "Hey Mercedes, is the sun shining?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you hear me?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you talk?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, are you laughing at me?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, are you lying to me?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you beep?"
  • "Hello Mercedes, are you in there?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, am I on time?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, are we there yet?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, I'm tired."

  • "Hey Mercedes, How's my driving today?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, have you ever seen the Grand Canyon?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you drive faster than a speeding bullet?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, where's my flying car?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, is my radar detector on?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you think we'll ever get past the Kennedy?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, are you sure it's safe to drive at this speed?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you want to be my navigator?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you have any idea where I'm going?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, what's the best way to get from here to there?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, can you teach me how to parallel park?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, would you like to play my favorite game?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you want to drive?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, do you think I should show off a little more?"
  • "Hey Mercedes, how long will it take me to get there?"
Hidden Feature:If you press and hold the voice command button on your steering wheel, it does something completely different. The assistant on your phone will be activated when your phone is connected to the car. For example, if you have an iPhone, "Siri" will be activated, and if you have an Android phone, "Google" will be activated. That means you can command your car without Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. So it can enable a lot of functionality in case you don't have any of those things.

Some commands do not require 'hey mercedes." I am listening to my usb music and want to go to the next song, I just say "next song" and Mercedes advances to the next song.

If you get tired of saying “Hey Mercedes” you can just press the voice button on the steering wheel instead. Saying “Hey Mercedes” gets old quick……

I wish it could do two commands at once like turn on massage seats and seat ventilation or turn on driver and passenger massage.

I also wish there was an option to make responses more concise vs an entire sentence.

Sometimes she embarks on a long-winded explanation of something and I don't want to hear any more. Any suggestions about how to stop her immediately in her tracks?
I tried "ENOUGH!" a couple of days ago and I think it stopped immediately, but I have to repeat this experiment in order to be sure. I had a lot going on at that point and just wanted her to stop babbling.
