you can buy it from dealer, but I think the cheapest place is eBay.
I am trying to find out more info about it too. wonder it is using 14-50nema or direct wire connect. want to replace my Porsches charger.

edit: it is hardwire.
If I were in the market for a new EVSE I would order the newest Tesla Wall Connector. It can handle both J1772 and NACS ports. It's the AC version of the MagicDock connector.
I just purchased an EQE SUV yesterday and the dealer told me that Mercedes is providing the new Mercedes Wallbox free of charge as an incentive. It is supposed to come in the mail in a couple of weeks, but someone on the forum provided me with the attached information regarding this charger. Hopefully, this will answer some of your questions.
It comes standard with a plug and is not hard-wired. It charges at a max of 32 amps (22 kW) so it isn't the fastest charger available, but it does integrate nicely with the Mercedes Me app. As a free charger, it is a good option, but I had already decided to purchase a different hard-wired charger with a faster charge rate so that it can be used with other vehicles as well. It also seems to work with the RFID card. This isn't something I would use since my charger is in my garage, but I guess if you mounted the charger outside it might be useful to limit who can use the charger.

Tesla Wall Connector is better TBH,
however I have OCD for car, i been telling myself the Porsche charger works just fine but can't stop myself to order one of Mercedes wallbox when it appear on the app
I have one brand new for sale. PM me and make me an offer. I currently use the Emporia charger for me car. I was thinking about hooking it up the extra charger in my other garage or my other property, but I'm too lazy at the moment.

my next door just lease a EQB but the wallbox they got is with 15-50 plug one. not the hardwire one.
I took off my porsche charger, the wall socket has white-ish spot. electrician said it was due to high temp and rubber aged. he said that hardwire is much safer.

The documentation for the newer Mercedes wallbox says that it is a type 2 hardwired connection. There is nothing listed for an optional plug. I still haven't received mine, but when I do, I can reply with what the specs are and what is included.
I agree that hard wiring is the way to go. Do you know what brand of socket they used on yours? I know the cheaper sockets from the big box stores are prone to issues when used for EV charging. There are higher quality outlets available that are better, but if you have the option to hard wire your charger, I would go that route.

I don't understand how this Mercedes wallbox put out 22 kw @ 32 amps. My Chargepoint Homeflex put out 9.6 kw @ 50 amps assuming this is on a 240 VAC grids. If it really putting out 22 kw it can cut the charging time down to less than 4 hours from 20-100%.

someone said it comes with plug, just point out it doesn’t. I just installed yesterday, it is better than Porsche one. But Porsche charger can adjust amp direct from its screen. Mb wallbox can’t. Need to login to it’s installation app to change it.

I am not convinced that everyone in this thread is talking about same MB EVSE. It would be nice if someone could post photos.
This is the same charger (EVSE) that I was talking about. @guess2098 's experience matches what I read in the documentation for this unit. I think this is the newest one being offered by Mercedes. My original post in this thread stated that it comes with a plug, but I believe that was information regarding an older unit.

I think it is "maybe" different model. both install manuals are little bit different than your PDF file. I threw away the user manuals, try to dig from recycle bin later
edit: I think USA version is slightly modified due to max volt per household is 240v. unlike other countries can use 3 phase (or commercial like my warehouse has one 3-phase 480v (or 360) outlet) the cable is a bit longer 7m(23ft). here are the spec

This is the fastest a level2 charger can charge and also you can only do 22kwh in Europe not in the US. In the US you can do 11kwh, but the EQS in the US is capped for l2 charging at 9.6kwh so you can't use the full capability of the wall box.
My CP can do 11kwh which means a 60A circuit is required and this has to be hardwired with proper breaker.
Check with your local utility because in Austin,TX if you use an authorized electrician to install they have a 50% rebate on the total cost of installation and charger and then you get an addition 30% tax credit but you have to install it within a small window after you buy a vehicle. Otherwise you don't qualify. Other cities also may have similar rebates.

As others have said the 22kwh is for Europe where they have 3 phase. US is max 11kwh / 48a for L2 charging BUT again 48a charging actually means you have to have a 60a circuit otherwise it is a fire hazard. Your circuit has to be 20% higher than the max charge. A nema 14-50 plug can only support 40a charging (i.e 9.6kwh). So you have to hardwire to get 11kwh, but the EQS is max 9.6kwh anyway so it doesn't matter.
In my case I went ahead and hardwired to a 60a circuit so my charger can do 11kwh so that in the future if I get another EV that does support 11kwh charging then I am ready for it.
There a guy on ebay that is selling this wall box.
$829.99 +$15 shipping +tax. I offer $600 and he accepted. I’m going to try compare this MB wallbox with my ChargePoint home flex and see if there any difference. Seen like he have more of these wallbox for sale.

Forget about the branding. Get a Chargepoint flex. Works perfectly. Superbly well built with an excellent app. You can hardwire or plug it. I have 2 (one for each home) and have zero complaints, excellent in all respects.
