Configuration Coding ideas
I’m going to buy a coding session to configure some more functionality.
Wanted to hear from those who have done this, what features should I code.
Here is my preliminary list:

Here is my preliminary list:
- Digital Light System with Projection
- Set default drive mode to Individual
- Suspension height change control
- Rear light bar always on (Rear DRL)
- Front light bar on with DRL
- DRL menu in MBUX (if available)

I had the default drive mode changed to Individual and I love it. Making this change effectively allows you to reconfigure the default to whatever makes sense for a particular situation. For example, now in the Winter when range is in the tank, I like to keep the default in Eco.
I also had the suspension lowered. This turned out to be a little more complicated and I will create a separate thread to describe what was involved.

#4 sounds like a terrible idea. The whole point of the third brake light is a higher point for drivers to see when you hit the brakes, if it’s always on the you are defeating the purpose.
Is it possible to have two levels of intensity on the rear brake light bar? Low intensity as you “rear DRL” and high intensity when you hit the brakes?

The answer will be no. That is not a regional setting. Basically the coding just enables you to set a feature to the way it is done somewhere else in the world. So for instance in the USA there is no rear DRL required by the DOT so rear DRL is coded to be off. In Europe, cars are required to have a rear DRL so in Europe the rear DRL is coded on. What coding does is enable you to create a Hybrid of these different default settings to suit your personal preferences. e.g. European style matrix high beams, rear DRL, while other settings maintain US specs.

How to get in touch with a "coder"

Few questions here
1. How to get in touch with a "coder" ?
2. Are the "coders" certified by any means ? What if he messes up the whole car ?
3. I'm very interested in a feature that is available in Europe but not in the USA. It is "self parking in a garage" on private property (not public garages). The driver will park himself the first time and the car will remember it and repeat it thereafter. Is it possible this feature to be added by a "coder"
Thanks,

Basically, it says record the maneuver you want to perform and then the car will be able to repeat it. Think Excel macro...
P.S. I don't have this capability on my car, since I did not buy the remote parking package, which is a prerequisite.

Search on this board there are several. You can contact them using the contact info on their websites.
RJ Automotive - very well regarded on these boards. UK based so they speak English and offer remote coding. However they are a bit pricey.

Elebest

BenzNinja - offers a DIY solution if you are up for that

2. Are the "coders" certified by any means ? What if he messes up the whole car ?
Not certified since MB doesn't encourage this. I don't think they would mess up the whole car. The worst case is they accidentally corrupt a file. In this scenario they could reupload the backup, or you could take your car to a dealership for them to flash it back to stock settings. But I have never had this issue, not even when I did it myself on my BMW.

No idea. Depends on whether the car has all the hardware for this feature or not. Check with the coders. I usually find that all self parking features are slower than driver parking so I prefer to park myself.

This is not exactly a video. It's an animation. Nevertheless, it might be informative for you even if you ignore the audio, which is in Swedish. Perhaps an English version exists somewhere, but I haven't found it yet.

This is another solution to this type of thing.

I would love to have cornering lights turned on but I understand that they may not even exist. This I find very strange as the lower tech lights on our 2019 had that feature. I pinged RJ Automotive that turned on the intelligent high beams but haven't heard anything back yet.

EDIT: sorry, I was referring to the W223 manual but the same content must be part of the EQS manual too.

I see that in the manual also, just that there's nothing but a black hole when turning at low speeds. Nothing at all like our 2019 E-class. There pivoting headlight beams don't go nearly wide enough and the wide A pillars don't help.

Somebody let me know when MB will allow us to project images on the road in the USA. Also, the rain drops and AMG animation is getting old. I wish there were more. I'll pay. Also, add more exterior sounds or customizable. Wish list.

When changing lanes using a turn signal with cruise control the lane change projection shows. It has to be turned on in settings. It's not real bright nor does last very long, all in all not that impressive. I haven't seen any warning projections in the last 7k miles.
I don't recall what Merc calls the lights on our E53 but they are multi-LED with similar start-up patterns and intelligent high beams if activated to the EQs.
