Mercedes to continue EVA2
EQS is considerably boatier and sloppier than the i7. The new 7 chassis really bests both the EQS and the W223 S Class.

I’m still going back and forth between this and the 223 S Class and I’m really not sure which will win, but ride and drive the 7 wins. Styling and panache the S Class wins. Interior 7 wins. The i7 is the best riding and driving car I have ever driven.

but it is personal preference, what I think or you think doesn't change other's. people here owns EQS, some might even test drove both cars. I agree previous generations 7 series and S series is way better looking. if EQS looks like GT63's front, the resell value won't be like this.

It would be a sin not to drive an i7 before going to the dark side and get a 23' AMG EQS loaded with S-class+ options. The only thing an EQS has less than the current S-class is space in the backseat arena. However, I did not test drive the m70 since it was not available at the time. In short, the i7 is the chauffer car while trying to maintain it's driver's car status. It's not necessarily inferior to the EQS, but it does not have anything superior to the EQS aside the backseat arena. That's it. So if you are big on rear seating and design is equal, get the i7.
The EQS is a forward design language. Right or wrong direction, it's a technological advancement in automotive without a doubt. Is it the design that people don't like or because it is an EV, or both? Who cares. I'm driving the damn thing, and blowing doors off 99% of the ICE out there while making my sandwich with Grey Poupon, and that's all it matters.

I was able to cross off the 760 and the i7 50 and EQS off the list, so it’s between the i7 60 and the S580. i7 is the nicest interior, the i7 rides incredibly well and is so solid and refined, but the S Class still has a special feel and appeal. EV vs ICE is part of it too, have to really think about it. Money is identical.
Interesting you guys are so defensive. W223 folks aren’t like that at all, in fact Streamliner has a whole thread in there about his i7 order and everybody is happy for him

What are you looking for? An athletic luxury boat? If that's your tea, test drive an AMG EQS pinnacle with executive package. Something that MSRP for $157K+ and report back. As for the i7 m60 vs. EQS580, performance and luxury category, they are likely the same on the streets and optioned except for the rear arena. EQS580 in sports+ is no couch potato. and it will steer on a dime just as good as an i7 m60. In the good old MB fashion, the EQS is about a car length or two faster in the straight line acceleration than the bimmer. On curves, the bimmer might have an edge on feel which may give you more confidence to push it harder.
...and over.
It’s interesting that i7 feels so much better than the 760, I think the weight of the batteries makes a difference. The 760 felt a little nervous at higher speeds…
I'm comparing the EQS580 with the i7 m60 agility and speed. If you are a "ride" guy, the i7 is better suited for you. However, if you are a driver guy, then the EQS580 is more agile (and faster) than the i7 m60. If the test drive allows you to get the tires squealing a bit, you'll notice the EQS580 will be more poised than the i7. Which chassis is better? A dedicated platform will likely always edge out vs. a multi-use platform, but of course, other technical nannies may level the end results. In the end, enjoy the leased i7 for a few years, and come back when the S-class turns EV. Let's not leave out the S63 e-performance, aka king kong with a a retrofitted mechanical arm.
...and over.

Whats with the insult?
Center of gravity isn't going to help with ride quality. I'm talking about ride quality and straightline stability. Helps with handling sure.

C&D Ranks the EQS #11 in luxury EVs, i7 is #4:
To me it is, doesn't mean it is to everybody. The 7 Series is selling well, if thats any indication.

We agree on the front and I can see what you are seeing in the back but I like the utility of the EQS's hatchback.

Or.....you could just stop trolling the EQS forum, go buy your Bimmer, and drive into the sunset, Beaver teeth and all.......unless you decide to drive your Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Come on, Man.....leave us alone!
