EQS 580
Leasing Offer EQS 580

Hi, originally, I didn’t want an EQS model and was waiting for the E53 W214. But I looked at the discounts, and they are quite astonishing.I was looking for a 2024 580 SUV, but they are hard to find with a beige interior.

I now have an offer for an 2024 EQS sedan.
MSRP: 132,275
Rebate total: 30,814
+ all fees, doc fee, ... plus additional transport cost (Car comes from a dealer outside Fl) ~ 4,200
Trade in - 6,000
Total: 100,552.75
Cash down 5,000

36 Month 12,000 Miles/Year, 1,169 per month incl 6% FL Tax.

Is this a good deal? Is it still worth negotiating further or looking for another dealer?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Are you putting the 6,000 from the trade towards the lease? If so seems a bit high. I leased on in Jan 2024, a 2023 MY SUV, and put down 0, rolled all fees into payment and pay just over 1200. NJ had no sales tax on EVs at the time so that counts for some. The MSRP on the vehicle was $140,xxx.

I’d push a bit harder because these cars don’t move. The buyout on my lease, not that I’m considering that, is a touch over 108,000. The value of the car ranges from 59-62,000. Enjoy the lease because the car is quite nice but do not purchase these unless you’re getting for about half off the sticker.

Between your trade in and cash down of ~$11,000, that's a little bit of a high monthly payment. At this time of year especially with the 2025s hitting dealerships and the incredibly low demand on EQ cars, I really think you should be closer to $1,169/mo WITHOUT the $11,000 down.

We were negotiating on a $146,000 MSRP 2024 EQS 580 and had them at $1400/mo with $0 due at signing, 36 months, 15,000 mi/yr.

As a reminder, on leases, your goal should be to put as close to $0 down as possible. If you get hit pulling out of the dealership and total the car, that $11,000 simply vanishes.

I agree with @QuadBenz never put money down on the lease, there is no benefit / discount for doing so. Also in the event of a total loss that money is gone. If you don’t like a higher payment get a less expensive car. However, don’t believe the car is more affordable because you prepaid a lump against the lease total.

Thanks all for the input. I'll go shopping a little bit more. The MB incentives 7,500.+ 5,000 is ending this month. Not sure how this influence the leasing rate.

Let me try your numbers tomorrow. I found a EQS580V4 for 138,220. Lets see if he is ok with 3y/12k miles year/ 0 down for around 1,200 ...

I just checked my account and I pay 1220/mo but there is no tax in EVs in NJ, at least at that time. So if you get that number, or very close, + tax that should be your goal.

It looks better now:
MSRP 131.320Dealer: I used $14,000 in Star Loyalty Money + $5000.00 in Loyalty Cash which reduced the price to $100,000. In addition, I used the $7500 lease cash from Mercedes Benz to calculate the lease. You Adjusted Cap is $94,194.00. Total Savings = $38,820.00. I used 7% tax because without your exact address I am unable to get the information for you taxes. This is based on driving 12k miles per year.

Payment $992 plus 7% tax. Down payment $1.599 for some fees and stuff plus I have to pay the transportation to FL 1,500.
This is a 30% rebate.

AMG EQS
Last year I leased a 2023 AMG EQS with a MSRP of $169,900. I paid 0 down and $1,400 a month X 36. 10k miles per year. I’m in Orlando.

Extrapolate from there.

I got a new deal from a MB dealer, with bad numbers.

MSRP $138,220:
DB0 - Winter Package
DB6 - Executive Rear Seat Package
DY2 - Pinnacle Trim
21U - Dashcam
445 - MBUX augmented reality Head-up Display
596 - Heat, Noise insulating, & Infrared Reflecting glass
D10 - Rear Spoiler, Body Color
and D50 - Premium Touchscreen Cleaning Cloth(!!!)
I love this car!

I like to offer 36 Month/12,000 Miles, Leasing rate: 1,260 incl. Tax. ($1,184 no Tax), no down payment.
Is that a realistic offer?

@emailforbrett perfect deal. For 169.xxx is close to a Maybach.

Thanks four all of your help. Unfortunately, I am not the best at negotiating.

More question:
1. Is the MB home wall charger for free?

2. I’ve read that starting in 2024, it will be possible to charge at Tesla Superchargers, but I also saw that this only applies to certain stations and requires an adapter.
Can you clarify the current situation? Where can I get the adapter, and how can I check which locations are compatible?

I’d go elsewhere. I have found Florida MB dealers don’t negotiate much. I leased mine out of Charlotte, NC. I flew up there and picked it up. (I fly free). Well worth the savings.

Waiting to pounce is key. They aren’t exactly flying off the showroom floors. Deal included many MB incentives at that time, but $137K MSRP, $94K OTD, 50% residual, $0 down, 36mo, 10K miles/year, sub $900. Brand new last April. Anywhere around $1100 is probably fair in today’s market without those deep incentives. Otherwise I’d wait.

There are a lot of incentives out there. Your deal is great. But there are only a few 580 in my color combination (Not white outside, not black inside) and with the AR head up display. I'm fine with up to $1200. I'm looking national wide.
The 2025 model is coming soon (When?). This will drop the price too.

$7000 one pay

If you browse around Leasehackr, you'll see that some 580's are leasing crazy cheap. In one example, one person got a 24mo, 7500mi/year lease for $7000 one pay. He also got a pull ahead on his current EQS one pay lease that gave him $3250 back, driving the overall bill down below $4K.

Can anyone get the AMEX discount? Is the loyalty only for current EQS owners?

Ok tried to do this deal and the dealer would only come down 10.5% vs the 23.6% posted. Claimed that this deal must have been on a service loaner where they would have had more room. Also the loyalty is only available to current leaseholders.

The good news is I did test drive an EQS. Finest car I have ever driven. Really, really liked it.

You need to shop around. The guy is pretty well respected on that board and his calculator showed it wasnt a loaner. When I shopped for my EQS in 2023, I negotiated with every dealer in SoCal and none would bite on my 15% offer, eventually one caved a few weeks later at 17% before incentives on a new car. My lease and all the other deals I've seen are structured as follows...
  1. Negotiate a % off MSRP before any incentives are applied
  2. Apply any incentives you qualify for (a Leasehackr subscription would be handy here)
  3. Use MSDs or Onepay to drive the MF down from buy-rate

What in the calculator informs you that it wasn't a loaner? I hope you are right because I did find the exact deal in terms of sales price and MSRP but it was on a loaner and its in Florida. Don't have a current Mercedes lease but wondering if owning an (old) Mercedes makes you eligible for any other Loyalty programs.

I am eligible for the employer fleet discount in place of the AMEX.

Spec wise, drivetrain, and ownership experience: yes. The only issue is the exterior goofy look. I always wished the EQS looked different. I'd buy one tomorrow. I keep trying to see if the exterior has grown on me, and each time I am close to my dealer I try to walk around the EQS to wrap my head around it - I just can't get that goofy egg shape to grow on me.
It's like I really wish I can convince myself to get one, cause I like the interior and the EV drivetrain, but I just hate the exterior look. Many goofy BMWs have grown on me and I ended up buying them (like the recent split headlights X7), but not the EQS (yet).

You really have to get used to the look. I'm a tech freak, and in that area, the EQS is miles ahead. The discounts are unbelievable—for the EQS 580, it's around $40k off, and the AMG model goes up to $50k. That discount aligns more closely with the market price, so I’d happily take it for three years. I have very specific ideas about how I want the EQS to look inside and out and the features it should have. The sedan isn’t really my favorite; I prefer the SUV. But with these discounts, you have to be a bit flexible. The best offer I currently have is a $132k EQS 580 model for $999 a month, $0 down, on a 36-month/12k mile lease. I have a little bit more in my budget ... lets look for the AMG or a demo Maybach 680 SUV. I'm not in a rush. And the 2025 models coming soon.
