I bought this the other day for $120 on Amazon. Got it delivered the next morning. I just used it today to charge at a Tesla Supercharger. Worked great and easypeasy! Just install the Tesla app on your phone and fill in the deets. Slide the toggle within the Mercedes app to show you have the adapter. It’s magic. The car starts automatically showing all available Tesla Supercharger stations and status, just like the rest of the charge stations, right on the MBUX map.

NACS Adapter
How did you get charged? In Tesla app or via MB me?

Charged to my credit card saved to my Tesla account. So in essence, the Tesla app, when you use a Tesla Supercharger. The process has nothing to do with Mercedes or MercedesMe. The only Mercedes component is when I touch the MBUX screen to indicate which Supercharger stall I am using out of the numerous Superchargers at each location.

Or if one doesn't have or care to open a Tesla account, accomplish the same through through the Mercedes app or MBUX and pay through Charge Point via your credit card on file. Same price as the Tesla app unless you have the $12.99 per month Tesla subscription.

I used to have a couple of Teslas (3P and Plaid) so I just used my old account.

Once everything synced through the Tesla chargers showed up in the app and on the car. The filter settings are on the Charging stations page in the app to the left of "Available".
I reset my app, which removed all of the preferences. Once I zoomed to an area and hit the “charging station” button, all sorts of chargers (not only Tesla) appeared.

There is one EA charger on a route I drive fairly regularly. There are four Teala superchargers that accept adapters on the same route (and probably more to come). I don’t plan on making superchargers primary, but having pulled up to the EA site with only 30 miles of range left to find all chargers offline, I’m pretty happy to have more options. (I was able to double back to the nearest city and find a car dealer with a 62.5kw ChargePoint charger, but it cost me almost two hours).

This is a huge range anxiety reducer for me!

Having the Tesla Supercharger network available to us is game changing. It’s like a whole different car now. Zero range anxiety and wondering if: when you pull up to the charger at 10% is it going to actually work? The Tesla Supercharger network is like just pulling off to get gas. There is always one nearby (at least in FL) and it just works. I won’t even waste my time with the others now, except the Mercedes-branded chargers….those have been pretty good.

Simple basic question. How does charging at Tesla work? At EA chargers you just plug in and it works. You set up a Tesla account, and then .......

The software update to the car, whenever that happens, is supposed to bring plug and play (charge) to MB so plugging in will then be just like it is for an EA charger.

I don’t see how I can provide you with the URL. It’s from Auto Blog.
For those that have a few weeks experience in this. Do I purchase the MB adapter from my dealer... or an aftermarket converter such as FirstEV posted use with a Vortex adapter

I just rolled up to my local service center near Atlanta today and they had adapters in stock for a hefty price of $287!!! I don't mind spending money but why does MB always have to hike up everything! Search this post ... I think someone posted mbpartsource.com which right now has the best price for the MB recommended adapter for at least $100 less!

Touch the menu bar in the Tesla app upper right corner>go to Charge your other EV>select your tesla charging location>touch charge here>choose charger number>hit start charging. This is assuming you already plugged the tesla charger into your adapter on your car.

Tell your rep you do not appreciate being charged $287 for a $185 part and this really gives you pause to any future dealings with their dealership.

And communicate this to the GM as well.

And MB is not hiking anything up. The price is $185. It is an unscrupulous parts dept that hiked the priced. MB can be blamed for a number of this but not this.

To be honest with all of you, I’m surprised that so many of you are willing to support Elon Musk by charging at one of his superchargers. I realize that some of you don’t have good choices for charging but hopefully there will be additional EA, Charge Point, etc. chargers in the near future.

As I told you before close to the beginning of this post, I despise Musk. I don’t want to turn this into a political thread but to me he acts like a ****.

If only. Last time I tried to use EA on a trip, I had to drive 30 minutes out of my way, wait 15 minutes, charge 25 minutes. Turned a 3 hour return trip to 4.5 hours. If I have to avoid Superchargers, I'll end up going back to gas.

I’ve had no serious problems with EA.

That was your dealer. I picked one up at my dealership and there was no dealer surcharge.

You might want to find another dealership, if they are boosting the price of this part, then they are doing so for everything.

MB talked about the gouging of the adapter in the pdf I just published...

I asked for a military discount and got $20 off and thanks for being a veteran

Interesting that this memo comes out of the Sandy Springs office of MB and the dealership 20 mins away is one of the dealerships gouging the price of these adapters....like WTF?

Here's an example of a serious problem at EA....

Plugged into the 150kW charger in the Walmart parking lot and went into the store. Decided to check the MB app while in the store and the DC charger is running at 7.2kW. Back at the charging stations there is an EQS with a 7% SoC charging at 47kW at the 350kW charger.

Plug & Charge now activated! Received a message on my iPhone last night that the Plug & Charge feature has been activated on my EQS 580 Sedan. It said it will work with EA and other charging networks, but does not mention Tesla specifically. I will be trying it later today.

What Extension Cord to Buy for Tesla SC Access

I just emailed Lectron, where I have purchased all of my other cables and adapters. They no longer sell an extension cord. I have the Lectron branded adapter, but do not know which extension cord to get. The adapter I have was purchased from Lectron last May and is
"Lectron Tesla Supercharger (NACS) to CCS Adapter | Vortex Plug | 500A | 1000V"
I am confused about which one to get. Maybe NONE! ? See https://insideevs.com/news/734336/te...le-cybertruck/
