12 - 2 pm - Central Park (just down the street, we'll bring our own BBQ and park it on the grass right next to where we will have our cars parked, so we can keep looking at them ). BYOC = Bring Your Own Cooler with hot dogs, turkey burgers, cheese slices, lettuce, onions, tomatos, buns, condiments, steaks, potato salad, chips, drinks (sorry no alcohol allowed), plastic ware, napkins, ice, whatever. BBQ, coals and lighter fluid will be provided. Maps will be provided beforehand at THOP.

Note -This is Passover but sunset isn't until around 7 pm this time of year.

I'll be there. I will prolly do the dyno runs too. I have a feeling that the numbers will be low because for some reason I have a feeling that my car isn't running 100%...I just hope my numbers are somewhat decent...

 

I'm just afraid of dyno-ing my car and something might go wrong. My car is old afterall.

Directions: From Newport go N on PCH to Goldenwest. Make a right and take Goldenwest to Slater and make another right. Continue on Slater past traffic light (Gothard & Slater) and make the first right which is Metzler. Drive down Metzler to 17671 which will be on your right hand side, across from wheelers speed shop. HoP is located at suite B-3. From the 405 north or south exit Goldenwest and continue down till Slater and make a left from there just follow the directions above. Some of you that are worried about your ride falling apart on the Dyno need to not worry. If you flat foot it on the Freeway, the Dyno is no different in terms of stressing the powerplant. Not to mention if your ride is running bad the Dyno can also pinpoint your driveability complaint within reason. Are any heavy hitters aka. "Ringers" planning on attending?

 

After speaking with Josh this morning I will be joining fellow MB fanatics for the dyno runs. I need the fuel/air monitoring runs Josh. thanks so much for the long and very informative phone call. If everyone else is as friendly as you I expect to make new friends for sure. I ordered the header wrap today and also some aluminum tape with metal clamps by Thermo Tec. This weekend is the fabrication of the cold air box. Hope to see you all there.

Direct Route - Take Josh's directions using Goldenwest and call him if you get lost 714-504-1847.

Scenic/Cruiser Route -

Are you a Newport inlander, like in Nwpt Hts? Cause then you gotta go thru the wilds of Costa Mexico, up 22nd/Victoria/Hamilton til it deadends. You are now in HB. Turn lft and in a minute you will be staring at the beach and PCH. Head toward the sunset on PCH to Main St where you'll go inland. Cruise slow with all the other tunees past everyone hanging off balconies and having breakfast, where not even a curb separates you from their outdoor tables, just some low grillwork. Take that past HB High, the light, and start looking left for Gothard. Take Gothard until you get to Slater, turn rt, "and make the first right which is Metzler. Drive down Metzler to 17671 which will be on your right hand side, across from wheelers speed shop. HoP is located at suite B-3"

Are you in Newport, near the beach? You will find that if you get on PCH and head north, Surprise!, HB is the next city over. Follow the same directions above from PCH.

Coming from LA? Somehow get on 405 South. Just past the 605, take the Seal Beach Blvd exit. Its quick and you have to keep getting over, but its there, BEFORE the 22 and Bolsa Chica exit, so don't miss it. Make a left onto Seal Bch Blvd, heading toward the beach. Turn lft on PCH, going over the bridge of Anaheim Bay, heading thru Sunset Beach, past the big Warner light, and then thru the Bolsa Chica Wetlands until you go up a little hill, glancing down the cliffs on your right to see little poopy faces running free without leashes in the surf on Dog Beach. Keep going until you see the pier on your rt and that's Main St, where you want to turn left. Follow the directions above after cruising thru downtown HB
