September Northeast AMG/MB weekend
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...mg+photo+shoot
Since then, we have organized several other meets, drives and days at the drags that usually attracted five to ten cars each. We had been building a "track record" of successful events for the past couple years. Large events take months to plan and promote. As I mentioned to 55fanatic, I have a very understanding/supportive wife and no kids (at this point).
The AMG Weekend that Schiznick and I organized was the first weekender that came together and got the most attention. Perhaps that's why you thought is was the first time a large AMG gathering happened in the U.S.
Bottom line....we did this for fun. We didn't charge a penny and everyone seemed to have a good time. We are kicking around some ideas for a future AMG event as well....hopefully, the weather will be better next time!
I hope nothing but the best of success with your event
But seriously, something further south a bit would be better for us down in the stix.

Can someone post these on some other Mercedes Boards... we have 11 so far and we are only 1 week in!!!
Will be a perfect next month follow up to the AMG event at lime rock in August.
