September Northeast AMG/MB weekend
Hey folks after seeing how great the Atlanta AMG photoshoot/ track/dyno event went I wanted to get thoughts about doing something similar up here in the Northeast region!!!
To make it accessible for all in the Northeast I was thinking Connecticut(SP?) or somewhere in NY(not the city)? I am thinking early to late spetember some time?
I believe with some help we could get this to be another great event... also if someone is on Benz World could you post it there to get maximum turn out. Please PM or IM me or post with any ideas you may have and we can start on the organizing as soon as possible... we had 15AMGs in the south, why not 20-25 in the north!!!
I am looking for ideas regaurding locations( anything from jersey to as far up as MA), possible events, any popular MB tuning shops in the area, different sponsors we could contact for the event, and any other forums MB or AMG related we could post this to

I will try my best... and if yall can start spreading news to other forums I will start making solid plans and maybe something down on paper, I would like however to get some more numbers in order to start calling places!!!

You might want to touch base with "CHAPPY" based upon the postings for his Atlanta event it sounds like he put together a serious event and he had an AMG guy show up.

I am thinking New York... I think there is a drag strip just over the border somewhere in NY if someone can let me know what is in the New York area and also if there are any dynos around there...

ok folks I am aiming for Columbus day weekend... there is a track in NY, dont think it qualifies as upstate but higher up then the city, and also a couple prospect Dyno locations... when more detail becomes available I will post... I am thinking saturday is a floating day with everyone arriving, by late afternoon we could visit the dyno area as well as have dinner together at night... Sunday we visit the track and do a photoshoot monday is everyones day to travel home, hoping to have some folks from Jersey and even Maryland come up for this...

I am up for whatever but I think lebanon valley would be easiest...

i think you should work on the lime rock track for two reasons, they have a full track as well as a drag strip and it is lower south then the other one meaning you will get more ppl, b/c i think most will be coming from jersey, PA and metro n.y.
