i added the locations right behind our names. seems we need to know where 2 of us live.
ok i think we should focus on 3 cities to meet.
1) Irvine - like the irvine spectrum we all know where it is and there is only 1 way in and out of south county and its thru Irvine. about 30 miles from me
2) Newport Beach - well its Newport nothing more needs to be said, about 40 miles from me
3) Dana Point - it is closer for carlos and citron. it will suck for me because it is like 60 miles.
honestly HB is super far for the SD guys and a pain to get to for me. if we go irvine, newport or DP i can go the toll road. for lisa and chris its super easy for Newport, Irvine or DP. ramil is the only one with the super long drive because he is a valley guy.

I know, I tried to take those from SD into consideration and Carlos said not to worry about him, at least, but more to worry about those coming from LA and farther north.
So far, I have kept them all in OC because its between SD and LA, but I have a place in mind in Long Beach, but we'll see. I'll pick one more place and then we can just choose. I'm trying to think of places considering parking and ease of getting to so that even if people have to drive far, at least they will be right there, just off the fwy.

Keeping in mind centralizing this thing, I'm lost. I hate traffic and concentrated masses, so don't travel to LA or inland very often (inland being north of the 405). Okay, most of the restaurants where I'll get the big miles are few and far between, and out of business - great. SO, I won't go for the big miles which frees up tons of places to eat, including some I have actually been to, so I can judge them by parking availability and good places to eat together and talk. Here are some choices -
Choice 4 - Good because it is in between the 5 and the 405 (you can see it from the 5) at Sand Canyon, which is kinda in the center of OC, between LA and SD with lots of free open parking in its own lot. Salsa dancing starts at 8:30 pm and its just down the street from Irvine Spectrum for those wanting to go there afterward for a movie or whatever.

The actual date is dependent on MBUSA's grand opening of the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Irvine. Right now, all they have said is late Sept / early Oct. But, no matter what the date, we could use your help and ideas, so don't worry too much about it. The "committee" is mostly a loose organization of people I came up with, that have a knack and good ideas for the different aspects of organizing a proper, fun, event-filled meet, that can generate the most interest and participation for all. People are welcome to add/drop from the committee, as long as we keep the plan in motion....

You are welcome to bring a guest, like I mentioned before. But just know, that we'll have to have an informal planning meeting at some point. Clubbing & dancing is optional for anyone who wants to hang around and go somewhere.
Don't intend to make this into a "meet", just dinner & planning.
I'll have a little agenda drawn up with talking points. Please feel free to jot down some of your ideas to discuss. Oh, and by the way, I'm not making myself the self-appointed leader of this shin-dig. I just want to create a group that takes into consideration the ideas/concerns/isssues associated with SoCal MB/AMG meets, and proposes well-organized, highly-publicized, event-full meets.
