So meeting at Lime Rock after the last grad class is dead?
Too bad -- was hoping to take our cars around the track!
Aug 26/27 is questionable for me since I'll be driving to Lime Rock a few weeks prior. Would need to understand the agenda this time around (what kind of activities planned, etc.) to convince my better half to hit the road again...

Similar to last years activities but with hopes this year of not cancelling Day 2 do to rain... There has also been some disussion of an AutoX event. We had spoken with Rob about allowing us to have track time with our own vehicles at a track. He said it would most likely not be possible for us to have a road course sponsored my MBusa and allow us to take our own cars on the track... there were too many liability issues to contend with. I do believe the Drag strip we were going to visit last year now has a road course open. If the AutoX event falls through I will look in to another event. Also just outside of New York city there is a Kart racing track where karts can reach in excess of 70MPH

alright. good stuff, im in jersey also so if you guys need any help dont hesitate to holler, of if you guys need ideas. raceway park is right near my house too and it is a pretty decent racetrack. There is also new egypt.

yep the next month for me is a little on the busy side with finals and graduation coming but I will start looking for dealers... I know tons of you have contacted me with people before, please forward email addresses and phone numbers to me again... Northeastamg at yahoo dot com with subject line 2006 AMGfest info... This year I will no longer operate via PM, I still have PMs sitting in my box that I have to refernce back to... Anyone have any ideas for LARGE parking lots? I heard maybe the meadowlands? Anything else that maybe we could rent out? I have something BIG in mind to bring Vendors and what not together to show off there products and MAYBE get some kind of a racing event in... I will also contact Raceway park EARLY this year... Can somone go and take some pictures of there grounds? Maybe we could get vendors out there...

Ill be willing to hit up raceway park in englishtown and there is a track in old bridge that i could hit up. There is a raceway in freehold that i can check out too over easter break. Also Zaino is right near me on rt 9 in jersey so i could hit them up also..

cool go for it... Also check and see if that road course is open, I remember raceway park had one in the works

Ill check out the tracks and do a little write up. Hopefully ill be able to get some pics to go with it, but i wont be able to do it until easter break for me which is towards the end of next week.

Their website says that the roadcourse has gotten final approval, but the information looks like it's from early 2005, and there have been no updates. I wouldn't be overly optimistic that it'll be available.

yeah thats cool too, although I, pretty sure once me and the powers that be sit down, we will have some better options for an autocross

Put the roadcourse @ Englishtown Raceway Park out of your mind for this year I'd say.... Hoping to put my car on the course for some tuning I e-mailed them on March 30 regarding the track's status and if there were any updates to the old [O-L-D] pics and info on the website and got this reply the next day:
There have been no updates. The track is still not completed and we do not have any tentative opening date.

Im going to check with the SCCA and see if maybe they want in on the action this year? Maybe with there sponsorship/ help we could still get an autocross event off the ground using a segment of owners they prolly havent tried to attract before
