Location: Roosevelt Park in Edison, NJ ??

I should be able to make it, I won't know until the date gets closer. Where are we tentatively planning on driving to? If we are open to ideas, then maybe a run up to Bear Mountain like so many others have done (of course that would nix the idea of Edison).

I've posted this on other forums and there's a lot of interest in this meet at Roosevelt Park, we could meet and decide on a course of action as per the drive (Or plan) which ever, there's plenty of area's we could drive to if anyone want's to drive afterwards.

Wow, that's about as big of a bummer as I can imagine. Sorry to hear you can't make it. You want to reschedule for a week eairler or later? If not i'm still down to show-up for this, i hope everyone eles that originaly responded on this thread is too.

Follow 287 to Exit for Route 1 North
Follow directions for Route 1 North
Route 1 South
Make right at Grandview Ave. (After Menlo Park Mall)
Bare right
Make first left into park

Take jug handle at Lafayette Rd.
Cross back over Route 1 (turns into Grandview Ave.)

Those directions don't look right.
From Rt 1, you take a turn onto Grandview, which runs straight past Menlo Park Mall (from the South, take the jughandle. From the North, make a right just before the mall).
At your second light, make a left onto the park's perimeter road (you will see tennis courts with a srtiking blue surface directly in view)
From there, go up about 50 yards and turn right into the first parking lot you see. There are grills and picnic tables over to the left as you enter the lot.

I made a nice map, then realized attachments are turned off.
Anyway, look up Roosevelt Park, Edison, NJ - Middlesex Couty in Mapquest.
You will see a purple-shaded mall bordered by Route 1 and Parsonage Road. Turn onto Parsonage, go to the 2nd light and make a left onto Oakwood Ave.
Now you will see the tennis courts.
Make right into first parking lot you see.
It's very easy.
