While I was not planning on putting together another formal event like we have had the last couple years, I would like to still have an event where us owners can still meet in large numbers for an event and drive and celebrate what makes our vehicles special. It has been recomended we meet at the tail of the dragon, it has even been recomended we go west for an event but this years event has been something I really was interested in putting together since I started planning meets.

This years event idea is a somewhat special type of event. It would be a 4 day(October 6,7,8 and 9th), 2k mile rally. Starting in Boston and traveling through 4 states and 2 countries going north to Canada to travel on some very windy back country roads. A route has already been established. Hotel names and further details will be assembled and provided. I will keep details somewhat scarce on the forums for obvious reasons. And will start a mailing list for the event participators.

Like all of my events, I will do my best to provide a photographer(Mitch Weiss, many of you have met and admired his pictures from previous events)

There may be a BBQ or something to kick off the event sponsored by AMGpower.com, the evening before we start driving. All other food/gas/lodging will be on your own dime

Thanks again guys (and one female) for all of your participation in past events and I hope you all continue with this one too.

I dont have a map yet, but can get you the list of roads. A fellow AMGer did the route with his wife last fall and it was approximately 2k miles

Sounds interesting Pete!!! When is this trip going to take place? It would be great to include Montreal as one of the cities to go through since I've always wanted to visit it. Please post more details as soon as you have it.

interesting idea indeed. there is a lot of potential in boston for spirited driving and also for good chilling, meeting members, taking pictures etc.... boston is all about time. would people be willing to do a meet real early on a sunday morning, for example, in back bay?

clothes for 4 days. I will prolly invest in a police scanner or hopefully outfit one "security car" for us to ensure we dont get in trouble
