Chicago Track Meet - Route 66 Raceway in Joliet
As most of you know, winter is just around the corner. Most of the tracks will be closing soon and will not open again until April.
I mentioned that I wanted to hit the track and I have gotten a few pm's from others that want to go.
So, the last two Saturday's for this year are:
Saturday September 29, 2007
Saturday October 13, 2007---Last Blast!
I say we schedule a meet for Saturday the 29th @ Route 66 Raceway for some 1/4 mile fun. If you guys want, we can meet up for breakfast at IHop or some other place that is close to the track.

If it rains, we should plan on Oct. 13th as the backup day.

Jerry I will meet up by you. Never been to Rt.66 so prefer to follow. As for breakfast thats cool to! You can feel fee to video from my car just let me know what I need to bring?

Anyone else that wants to meet at the house is welcome. I live in Aurora off Ogden, about 5 minutes from Fox Valley mall. Should be a quick drive down 59 to Joliet.

I would like to invite my few friends to. A WS6, Fiero, TL-S type.....if its ok and they wish to go. I was thinking of two things:
1. My friend wants to race
that WS6(stock) with my car(stock) so what better way
.
2. I want to run the car with three different cleaned or new filters to see where they might seem more affective...K&K, GREENS AND STOCK.

It's safer to run him on the track and my buddy Clint is a great driver! If you want him to run your car, he would do very well.

so I would feel its best he wins or falls on his own if the race does happen and Clint becomes the Victor then my other friends would use that as an excuse so to avoid that it be better Sam if the race occurs.

Real Cars
Not to step on anyone's toes - but any E55s that are planning on going do not expect to get many runs in. Route 66 has VERY strict tech rules and will boot you off for running too fast without the proper safety equipment. 11.99s and under require a rollbar, 13.99s and faster require a driveshaft loop. I have not had an E55 tech'd there but I haven't been there in years because of their tech'ing. Just an FYI.
I have been trying to organize a drag day for MB guys but even GLD is now NHRA so 2 out of the 4 local tracks are not fast-car-friendly. The only other two are Byron (which you cannot rent out on weekends) and Route 41 (which is the worst of all 4 tracks)
