Cars & Coffee - Saturdays @ Irvine, CA
Greetings,
Do any of you hit this GTG on Saturday AMs? I've been going just about since this was the old Crystal Cove meet. If you're a euro car enthusiast you should make this meet at some point. There is always several million dollars worth of hardware sitting in the parking lot!
I saw the C63AMG Black Edition there before it came out as well as a couple of MacLaren SLRs on the same Saturday. There are Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches, Audis, Alphas and just about anything else you can think of. This is a real "car guy/gals" meet as many groups of enthuiasts are represented - euro cars, Japanese cars, old school American Muscle, new American Muscle, English cars, Rat Rods, Pro-Touring, etc. It's a real treat if you love cars. I've seem Barry Meguiar and Chip Foose there a few times as well.
You should consider hitting the show sometime of getting a group together and hitting it.

are just a bit early for me. Other Regulars are Vadim, SL-Chick, TREZ63.
The guy with the SLR is Gerhart. Seems like a few of the older Benz guys show with the vintage cars every once in a while too. But normally not a very
big Benz turnout. Next time you see my silver SL55 with the hood up. Thats me. If I got up that early.
I still think the best Benz was the CLK-DTM that Bob H brought in a couple months ago. That car really turns heads.

It is early and I have rolled in as late as 7:30AM or 8:00AM and still found a parking spot. I live relatively close though, so I get there quick. I'll keep an eye out for your car as I hit the show once or twice a month. I usually roll in in a green 65 GTO or a grey late model GTO.
You should try to get the MB crew organized and roll in together to park together sometime. Now that summer is over you could most likely roll in a bit later and still find plenty of parking.

Hey Bit, good to run across you again. I was down about three weeks ago. I have some Cobra buddies who show up there. I'll keep an eye out or PM me when you're headed over.

Verrry sweet. Someone had a video of him leaving Crystal Cove and it sounds like few other cars. Do you know what the two buttons are for on the lower part of the steering wheel?

Gerhard has TWO SLRs and a Nice Collection of Other MBs as his driver is a W211 Rallye car that Mercedes ran Paris to Beijing china Complete with all the BlueTec Graphics..With China Plates! He Got to keep the car after the race..One Lucky Guy!
Also The Mercedes Benz Classic Center brings out special cars...like the Old School 6.3 AMG / Vintage SSK and others
And a Friend From MBUSA brought the W209 Black Edition (RED) a couple of times...
