Petition for Norcal vs Socal SBPD Injustice
Participants of the 4/10/04 Norcal Socal Euro Event have started a petition against the harassment from the SBPD. If you were at the event, got ticketed at the event, or simply feel that it’s wrong for the Santa Barbara Police to discriminate against the participants of the event by giving out moving violation tickets for tints, no front-plate, too low to the ground, décor… Please take a minute and sign the petition.

I can't believe how cold-blooded they were! 
I got a ticket for tint so I will be signing!
It seems that most of the violations are correctable for tint and front plates; the thing about it is that maybe 1% of the people ticketed lived in SB, so they would never see the 99% of the ticketed cars again which just proves it total BS.

Everyone knows that GTG like this is practically a car show. It's only natural to fix up the car for a event of this size. Plus, when did tints/exhaust/decor ever hurt anyone?

uh...the police who gets shot cause he couldn't c the gun..
anyway...i thought it was a bunch of crap too...i'd understand if they wanted to prevent people from racing after or during the gtg event... but can't believe they would do that to their own city...the lost revenue for next year's gtg and the lost respect for the city...so much for organizing this next year at santa barbara...
