Barrett may be tempting, but I would want a civic to crash into me when he's racing his buddy in a maita

You need to stop worrying about that and be more concerned about catching me.

Clearly this isn't true....life is better INSIDE the perimeter - unless traffic and mini-vans are your means of excitement. Besides - it explains why we see all those Cobb, Gwinnett, Douglas, Clayton and Henry county tags in our neighborhoods all weekend.

The ONLY way to leave the perimeter is by plane - that's why the airport is inside the perimeter.

This is a joke, right? I heard this same argument when *I* moved to Midtown 12 years ago...maybe you could talk to everyone in the neighborhood association and update this list?

1) Traffic is the exclusive domain of OTP: Yeah, there's NO traffic on Ponce to Decatur, or on 14th Street during ANY daylight hours, or on 10th, or Piedmont from above Lenox all the way past the park and into downtown...riiiiiight.

2) Minivans are the culture OTP: Now, that's true; very few people OTP are stupid enough to try and pose by buying an Escalade as the vehicle they use to commute their kids over to Paideia...that's the exclusive domain of Buckhead Betty and VaHi Vicki.

3) The airport's new runway crosses 285 on the southside...but, let me get this straight: You're bragging about having the airport? What's next, bragging about living next to a jail? You can keep the airport.

4) You should be happy those people are all coming into "town" and spending money; it's long been proven that ITP Atlanta couldn't stand financially on its own without the support of the surrounding counties to pay for an infrastructure that is an unmitigated disaster.

The coffee event stays OTP, at least for round one. I don't feel like going to a place where the sewers regularly back up (as they do along Peachtree near 10th). If I went **** on my shoes, I'll go kick a BMW owner.

I live on North Ave and while I love being in downtown, it has its disadvantages. Traffic does suck a lot and having a 10 lane interstate right outside your window gets really annoying after a while.

Now that school is out I'm not in atlanta for the summer. I'll be back down sometime in August and I'll have my car this time so I'll actually be able to make it to the meets.

Chappy, us at www.seloc.net meet every 3rd Friday at the Starbucks downtown off Piedmont rd at 7pm. We usually look for some fun afterwards (cruising, we've done Barrett a few times).

We love our "cruises" us 400. Could we crash your lil get together about 10 or so? Or maybe ya'll come down to the Starbucks where we meet?

They have some sick supercharged GS400s. SELOC would bring lots of fun to the party.
