MB's First Class Wheel & Tire is pretty darn good coverage-wise, zero hassle from them or the dealership. But it ain't cheap.
Trenton, on the other hand, also sells aftermarket Wheel & Tire coverage (similar coverage limitations) for a lot less, FYI. Dunno if that includes 4 free curb rash repairs per contract (MB's does).

Morning everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow US peoples...
I have a E53 AMG 2021 under CPO to March. I have 32K on the car and I was visiting with my dealership and was quoted $4400 for a full extension of my CPO warranty for 2 more years. I was going to call around and see what I could come up with competitive quotes but thought I would ask here first. Is this competitive?
I don't believe I will keep it past that two years so timing is fine, unless I could get a 3 year. All they offered was the two year.....

I got a quote on a tire wheel warranty for the amg gt mentioned a few posts above. Its from a local MB dealer that I will do my cpo warranty work and maintenance with. I have worked with this dealer group with another lux brand and have always been impressed with the service.
Its 3rd party from Assurant. $0 deductible 48mo. The middle tier premium plan that covers damaged wheel and tires with repair or replacement. Also cosmetic damage repair. Does not cover cosmetic replacement.
Is Assurant a legit company with track record to hopefully be viable for 48 months. I have never heard of them.

It also included glass coverage but never filed a claim.

Lonestar, I would think you should pay closer to 3 K as your car is probably more expensive to fix than mine. Call around.

If you are purchasing a Mercedes and don't plan to put more than like 5k miles a year on it, is it better to try to buy the extended warranty around the purchase time of the car or around the time when the Mercedes warranty is close to running out? Also...can anyone give a guess-timate on what a three year extended warranty should cost for a 2026 E53 wagon based on whenever the best time to purchase the extended warranty?

I believe it does not matter when you buy it, maximum coverage is seven years from date in service. You choose maximum number of miles, up to 100,000.

I thought it would be helpful if I gave a download of my recent experience shopping for a 3 years at 75,000 miles (84 months, 75,000 miles when you tact on the original car warranty) Mercedes Benz extended limited warranty (ELW) for a 2025 MB GLS450. Save your self a lot of money buying the ELW after purchasing the car...
I emailed Finance Managers at 10 different dealers all over the US (mostly high volume dealers) and provided them with the model year/type, VIN, purchase date, and current mileage. Only 4 of the 10 dealers responded. Below are the quotes that I received:
- Texas dealer: $8,140 (With the finance manager when buying the car.)
- California dealer: $7,490 (I had used them to purchase a previous warranty at a way better price.)
- Florida dealer: $6,063
- Kansas dealer: $5,990
- MB Louisville: $4,640
When I bought a MB ELW previously in 2015, you needed to buy it within 30 days of purchasing the vehicle to avoid paying a premium for the ELW warranty. I don’t know if that is still the case, but something just to keep in mind.
Naturally, I moved forward with Brandon Strong @ MB Louisville (Email is the best way to contact). As I gave him all the details above, he sent me a text with the payment info, & I received the warranty via email within minutes.
