MB Extended Limited Warranty Basics Thread
I got a 2013 W212, non-CPO with 57k miles on it. I would like to get an extended warranty on it.
Please help me with pricing.
Hendrick Merc in Charlotte, NC is asking outrageous $5400 for 'Gold coverage' of 48kMiles/4yr.
I went though the 34 point inspection and it passed. Scheduling for 140+ point inspection.

- The following are a group of individuals at MB dealerships nationwide who offer very competitive pricing: (in no particular order)
1. Jason Mayes, International Autos, (414) 727-6722, jmayes@iamilwaukee.com
2. Erin Mahre, Mercedes-Benz of Santa Rosa, (707) 521-3996
3. Jeff Jackson, Tafel Motors, (502) 894-6829
4. Dan Boone, Mercedes-Benz of Austin, (512) 220-0940
I recommend you call all of them as well as your local dealership for competitive quotes. Make sure you are getting a final price OTD (including any "service changes").
- The above individuals will need your car's VIN, exact mileage, desired warranty information; they are happy to sell you the warranty over the phone.
Happy motoring!

Lucky you; I emailed him last night too---and still waiting on contact. So, hopefully soon...
Let us know how it goes...
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Jason Keebaugh; Anaheim Merc. quoted me 2475 for 7/75 and 3610 for 7/100k.
My vehicle was originally purchased on 07/13/2013, currently 43k on it.
He is off next week, until Friday.

In MB of Danbury, CT Carlos Costa does both MB EW and Fidelity. 203 778 6333 x 3217
Biggest problem is the sales tax Molloy is going to raise because his bureaucracy can't stop spending.
BTW every EW contract sold in CT has to have towing, loaner car, etc. included. Don't know about other states.
My wife got the Fidelity since MB never sent her an expiration notice. Except for the deductible I think the Fidelity Platinum maybe better than the MB EW according to stories I have heard. Less hassle getting things paid for. Anyone else have an opinion?
BTW the service supervisor Dave actually know how to work on ABC systems the right way.
If you get a warranty from Carlos tell him the fellow whose wife has a 2013 GLK recommended him.

I emailed one of the names listed on the thread and he told me that my 2014 C300 with 48k (still under factory 4x50) can not have a MB ELW put on it.
I did not buy the car from MB, I bought it from the Nissan dealer where I am a Service Advisor.
Hello,
Thank you for your message. This vehicle was sold as a used- non cpo vehicle by an authorized dealer which makes it ineligible for MB extended coverage.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
I have until December 17 or about 1600 miles left under factory.

Once your car became a used car at your dealership, the connection to MB was broken, hence no opportunity to reconnect.

I bought a 2014 E350 4M with 43kmiles from Nissan Dealer. The car was never a CPO.
My current options were, 7yr/75k and 7yr/100k MB ELW, from the date of original purchase July 13th 2013. I already paid for 7/75(less than $3k), but I had already driven 4000miles in 40 days; so, before the end of the Factory warranty, I'll be upgrading to 7/100k, which is a 1000$ more than the 7/75.
So, OP, just call other people.

Thanks for the new Point of Contact.
My dealer gave me a price of $4,700 and Jeff's price was $3,900, so $800 difference isn't really that great of a price, very disappointing. With all of the hoopla on here about Jeff, I was expecting a better deal than that. I know there is probably a sales tax difference and the 15% markup price with my dealer.

Samr story with Erin Mahre. She was even worse than Jeff.
Marc was better, albeit his response time and follow-up practice is horrible.

Jeff was short just giving me a price and I had to ask for information on the details of mileage etc. of the warranty.
I called Erin and she was really impressive and very nice, so go figure. I guess a lot of it depends on whether the person is having a good day or not.
