..or an 02 for 35-39k with approx 50K miles, but under 30k aint gonna happen unless it a junked G. Since the w463's arrival there have been minor issues and qwerk with each year. 04 05 06 were great years in my opinion.

Didn't mean to hijack your post, but im currently in the market for a G500 as well. I found a deal locally for a 03 G500 with around 34K miles. Body is in mint condition and the interior is in perfect shape. The owner sold the 03 for a 08 G55. Asking for $43,000. Is that a decent deal?

Klaus,
Most G owners are of the opinion that 2000-01 or go with 2004 and later. New electronics for the 02 model year presented some gremlins which carried over to to the early 03 models. Bottom line is that not all of the 02/03 models electrically challenged, but if you're going to buy one in those years do your research on the service history, warranty claims etc. If your candidate shows any signs of having "brain" problems avoid it like the plague. If it's clean, chances are you have a good truck for the long run. Search the www.pointedthree.com forums for more info on quirks for G500 model years. Under $30k for a w463 is going to be 2000 or earlier model.
Xiao;
I'd say you payed a fair price for your G. Maybe even on the low end for one in mint condition.

I got my late model 03 with 38000 miles certified pre owned for $42,000. Almost perfect condition... This was last January.

Color has a lot to do as well. Mine was black. There were some interesting colors that just don't sell

KompressKlaus,

I recommend you check out Mike Serpe's website Clubgwagen.com Classifieds.

Clubgwagen.com Classifieds: http://www.clubgwagen.com/classifieds/ads.php

Another option is for you to contact Russell J. Leabch the owner of Europa G-Wagen at 505-470-9412 for a Mercedes Benz G-class 1997 or newer Cabrio with powertop.

In October 2005, I bought my 1997 Mercedes Benz G320 Cabrio with powertop from him and I am very happy with my purchase.

Good luck in your search for your Mercedes Benz Geländewagen.

Respectfully,

James Văn Thạch

I can hook you up stock for around that $30K mark or set up for off road for some more cash.. Im VERY motivated.... have my eye on a G55K.

Mine has been used though, it will need a profesional buff job, ill have that done but i can not guarnatee the scratches will come out if you want it to look like a ballers G. Mine looks more like a H1 hummer that has been off road. LoL... it gets a lot of when you roll past.
