Change out tail pipes on 2012 G550 for G63?
Hey guys,
I just picked up a 2012 G550, and the truck is great. I would like to get the side pipes looking like the amg with the exposed tips. Has anyone done this, or know the part number on the tips? Is it a simple swap, or is there more work involved?
Thanks,

G550
I have done it. Simple bolt on - very easy to do. I don't have the part number but your dealer will easily provide and I'm sure you can also find it online.

G550 tail pipes
Anyone know if you can just change out the tips or do you have to change out the mufflers as well. It looks like they may be welded to the mufflers from the factory..thanks for your input

Hello, If you still havent done the exhaust swap to the G55 exhaust... Take a look here, I randomly came across this on eBay. They seem like a good price and they're brand new.

My muffler internals went dry and rattly and brittle and I got my replacement exhaust from these guys. No problems in the last 2 years.
It's a complete set with muffler and tips. Direct bolt on for the G55's and G500's.

Otherwise you must buy the entire muffler/dual tip set. This is a direct bolt on right after the cats.
