Anyone Catch the New G500 Commercial???
It's pretty funny, it starts off like they are crash testing it and it keeps going through the walls!!

ML55
You have probably seen by now...I've seen it on the local channels. BTW, nice cars...I have an ML55 and I just wish Mercedes built ML's with the same quality they build the G-class.

The G-class isn't that high-quality either. The first 2 G500s my dealer got, both had driver's door rattles. I've seen a G500 with an SRS light on due to the airbag clock spring. I'm working on a G500 right now with a rattle somewhere behind the dash near the steering column. They're built like tanks, and it's probably the safest SUV on the market next to the X5, but its the little things that mar my view of it.

I'm not sure which channel I caught the commercial on, but I'm pretty sure it was on regular network.
Regarding the quality problems of the G-Class, I find that pretty unusual since they've been building the same vehicle for over 25 years or so right??? You would have thought they had gotten all the kinks out of it by now..

The only thing they've been building on the G-class for the past couple of decades is the body shell and chassis. 25 years ago, the G-class didn't have an all-aluminum SOHC V8, ESP, BAS, several airbags, TeleAid, COMAND, a 5-speed automatic. It's these items that cause the problems. If the G-class had been unchanged for the past 25 years, today it would be flawless.

Mercedes just started it's "Unlike any other" ad campaign. I have a memo here in front of me listing all the new commercials. I've only seen the SL commercial though, I don't get the chance to watch much TV. Reading them though, some of them sound pretty good. There are 11 total new commercials.
