Sorry, I did actually forget to ask how you ended up wiring them. I was planning on running them with the foglight connections as well, did you end up needing resistors to avoid the bulb out warning when you turn on the fogs (now the Brabus led) or does it draw enough current as is?
Thanks in advance boss

Yes, I used a resistor on the left side of the fog light power source where I pulled my main power for the foglight. It eliminated error msg for the left fog light.
I need to install a resistor on the right side as well so it eliminates error msg on that side as well.

Looks really good. My questions are:
The brightness just as intense as the original DRL and quality of Led’s seems decent?
Your method of drilling and using double face tape seems to look solid on the vehicle, how invasive or number of drilled holes were required ?
After your experience with this after market kit, would you do it again or go with the real Brabus kit?
Lastly, any chance you can post a picture with them on minus the main headlights?
Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks

I think it’s the same brightness as the DRL’s
Quality is OK I think. I guess we’ll see how long they last or if they get any condensation.
I only drilled under the badges on the sides, the rest is double-sided tape and then if you notice in my last pictures, i did run a bead of caulking all the way around in order to eliminate any small gaps and to give it a more seamless look. I did some research and went with exterior window/siding sealer that’s used on homes. It stays slightly elastic, is for exterior use and has UV protection. Time will show how durable it is and if I need to do any touch-up
I think there are some good quality aftermarket lips out there but the one I got was OK, I had to do some adjusting and use a heat gun to make it lay more flush with my bumper. I don’t know how much the originals are but it all depends on the budget.
I don’t think I can turn them on without turning the headlights on because in order to turn the fog lights on, the headlights have to be on...
Thanks )

For everyone that followed your extensive build, please create a photo gallery of the finished product! I love to see it fully completed from all angles. The thread is too long to look at the in-process pics.
Congrats on your build and enjoy for many trouble-free years!

I would love to add the real Brabus lip with LED but I they cost $4k and that is not including paint to match body color and installation costs.
Here is the “part” that turns me off, even with the real Brabus kit, I was told that trimming some of lower body panel is necessary for fitment.

In my case, my 2016 G63 does not have fog lights, so I would have to tap into the existing DRL’s for powering the LED’s.
Do you think it would trigger light bulb malfunction error message by piggybacking the DRL’s circuit?
Thanks

I don't think it should trigger bulb malfunction error since DRL's are getting lower voltage already, but who knows... you might just have to try and see

You should have documented this journey as several episodes on youtube and monetized it. This project would have paid for itself two times over with how impressive it is.

I know... but when I started the project I didn’t expect it to be this extensive.
But would have been nice to film it.
*Atleast I took a bunch of pictures

That is really really nicely done
Was interior leather challenging to complete? It looks amazing..
Is that side marker light above the AMG badge your personal touch or it comes from certain European models?
That is Palladium Silver exterior color right?

Thank you
Interior was not easy, I made templates then I had upholstery guys do the stitching and then I glued it all. I learned how to do the interior from watching lots of YouTube videos )
Seats were done by the upholstery person from start to finish.
Since this is a 2002, it cane with the side marker on the side of the car.
Yes, car was re-painted in Palladium silver )
