Yeah they're definitely eye catching. I've seen numerous fly out since our GM is definitely customer focused and I can't say that I hate the color options.

Nice!
I saw a Sunsetbeam (orange) one in Boston last Thursday when I went out to get lunch. It had a full length roof rack and actually looked pretty sharp in person, which surprised me as I had thought the color looked pretty awful in the dealer ordering guide and on the MB site.
The local dealer (MB of Burlington) had an alien green one for quite a few months and finally sold (or traded) it recently. I wasn't exactly crazy about the color, but it looked better in person than in the brochures.
I'm really anxious to see pricing on 2017's (but I'm definitely not getting a crazy color edition ).
Any idea if it's possible to get MB to put all season tires on a G63 instead of the high performance summer tires? Or better yet get them to put the sport seats with the quilted stitching into a G550 (which has all the power I need, I just want the nicer seats...)?

I believe all AMG vehicles come with summer high performance tires. It is an easy matter to just swap them out at the local tire store if you prefer all seasons. I have had good luck with Town Fair Tire doing the change in my area. I'm running the factory Pirelli all seasons on the G550 but swear by Michelin pilot sport all seasons on my E350. They are a great tire. The sport seat option would be nice in the 550.

I agree, it's not inexpensive. That's why I intend to run the Pirellis until they wear out and then switch to Michelins. It may take some time because I only have 2500 miles on the G. The only mod I'm considering is adding the AMG exhaust outlets on both sides. The dealer wants $3,200 (Yikes!!) to do the conversion. I'm investigating alternatives.

I've seen these twice in person - stunning. If my California wasn't yellow, this would be the G wagon I'd want. The one I saw had black leather with yellow contrast stitching.

This is a "Crazy Color Edition", meaning Special Paint/Black Roof/Black Bumpers/Black Fenders/Exclusive Interior with Paint Matched Stitching, and Carbon Fiber Trim.
MRSP: $160k(ish).
