What color should I re-spray my G500 (vote)
Hello
Im deciding if I should re-pray my G500 with original "Iridium Silver" or change it a little and spray it with "Palladium Silver"
Iridium Silver is light
Palladium Silver is darker

IMHO, it's best to stay with the original color. My first G550 was Iridium Silver and I think it's a great color on the G. I think Paladium Silver is one of the colors that I've seen in person that I wasn't crazy about, but YMMV.

Thank you for all the input ))
The more votes we get the easier it's going to be for me to make a decision. Right now I can't decide between those two.....

Haha!.... Im trying but these things take time. I can't work on it every day but I try as much as possible.
Lots of details, lots of things to take apart, clean, prime, paint, etc...

I voted for Palladium silver. My last S Class was Palladium. It is a a little darker than Iridium and has a rich/elegant look to it. I'm not a fan of color change on a restored vehicle but would make an exception in this case. Good luck with the project.

I wasn't thinking about a color change as well but since I'm taking the car apart so much (as you can see in my other thread) that the only thing that's not gonna be painted is the interior floor and insides of the A, B and C pillars, which is going to be covered by sound deadning material anyways.
I have about three or four weeks to make up my mind.

Matte Gray Rhino Liner, the whole truck. Keeping all the proper oem black trim in place as well. No chance of rust or chips, ever again. Thats my vote

ultimately, it's your pride & joy on this build... go with your gut... between the two colors in the pictures, which ever is the one you would have bought if you were to walk in to a Mercedes Dealership today and order a new G...

That's the thing I like both of these colors. I like the light silver because it's clean looking but just a bit ordinary. I like the darker gray because it looks a little bit more special and a bit more serious. I'm thinking of blacking out chrome on the vehicle since the wheels are black and on the darker gray I feel it will look a little bit more menacing.

Kobzarhomes... just came across this on eBay. Palladium Silver G63 with the chrome blacked out. I see why you were thinking of blacking out the chrome... it does look great. But you may get tired of it. Maybe consider ping the chrome bits with 3M 1080 black vinyl so you can simply peel it and go back to chrome in the future.

Sorry its not one of your color choices. But I would love to see a G in Nardo Grey with gloss black trim and emblems. I think it would be very unique, and still fit the bill of having a shade of silver/grey...

Thank you for your input.
That color actually did cross my mind... I think it would look nice, but its too much of a leap. Maybe ill wrap it that color some day, but I don't think I can commit to re-spraying it in that color.

After receiving multiple votes and after looking at hundreds of photos, I made up my mind and decided to re-paint my G500 in Palladium Silver.
75% of the votes also favored Palladium Silver.
Thank you everyone for your input )

Good choice. Had an S Class in Palladium Silver. It is an elegant looking color. I never tired of it and it was easy to maintain. Certainly doesn't show dirt and dust like black. Now the "fun" part. Get it painted and begin reassembly. Good luck. Always look forward to your updates.
