Yes, no dealer puts a second sticker in writing these days JR, but I confirmed with the salesman that this one is available and they are selling it for 20K over MSRP. I asked him how they came up with that number and he said something about the G550s being a year waiting list (he said the G63 has a two year waiting list) and that California was selling them for 20K over sticker so that's what they are doing? Autonations (Bellevue Mercedes Benz) does not have a good reputation here in the NW.
Amazing vehicle though. Anxious to get mine ours (it's for my wife) about a week!

I'm with you 100%. America is Great!!! Like nowhere else in the World. And 20K, if you really wanted one of these and you didn't want to wait, 20K is not really that much money (plus you could probably talk them down 5 to 10K off that dealer markup). You can make that in one afternoon with Boeing stock, hahaha

I totally agree with you on that one, MB is a production company (98% of their vehicles are mass produced) so in a short time, those dealer markups will disappear. Not sure why dealers of this brand of vehicle do that markup, because once the customer realizes they got F****ed, they lose that customer for life. And if someone can afford a Gwagon, then they are probably multiple vehicle buyers. Oh well, that's why some businesses do incredibly well and some fail.

That’s a shame, really.. the dealership I go to will be keeping it at MSRP, and they did me a big favour lending me a a nice loaner until my G arrives.. I’m surprised corporate allows them to do that. Maybe it’s different in the states, but here there’s a lot of third party dealers that do resell for more. Given that fact dealers are also reluctant here on making cash deals with people they don’t know so these things don’t happen, because it’s frowned upon here. Sometimes they even make you sign wavers

They can keep their $20k mark up. 20 miles north of that store you can order a 550 or 63 at zero over MSRP. No surprise that car is available and not sold already.
AutoNation in NW has a bad rep.

It’s not just MB doing the 2nd sticker dance. Go try to buy a new Ford Raptor at MSRP. Raptors sitting on the dealer’s lot are hugely marked up. I saw one at my local Ford dealer earlier this past summer that was loaded, and granted it had some 3rd party trinket krap bolted on to it, but its window sticker (factory MSRP plus dealer awesome markup) was $133,00. I think you can order a Raptor at MSRP, just like you can order a G right now st full MSRP. It’s inventory sitting on the lot that may have the dreaded second sticker. Some ppl want to simply drive it off the lot today, and have no interest in waiting until next July to take delivery.

This is the cool thing about Capitalism and especially in the great USA. It's all about supply and demand along with personal choice. Look at the housing market -- It's all based on market demand/supplies and what someone is willing to pay for it. I wouldn't pay over if I don't have to but if I had the means to do it and my wants are high enough, I'd do it.
It's the dealer's choice to ask and it's the consumer to accept "or not". You can always negotiate, at the end both sides has to agree. If the two sides don't then just move on. It doesn't have to be personal unless one makes it personal.
We have one at MB of Lynnwood -- Black on Black that I will sell for at MSRP and no mark up. Would I love to sell it for what the "market" demand for? Absolutely! But we've chosen to sell it at MSRP. So if you don't want to wait and don't want to pay the mark up then call me 206-715-0588 or email me michaelle@mblynnwood.com.

Here are some pictures and the MSRP.
If this one doesn't work -- I can see what I can get down the line or possible trade. I have another one coming toward the end of the month in White with the 501 Nappa Leather package, Carbon Fiber trim, AMG Package along with the Night Package. It's potentially sold but It's not done until the complete exchange is made.

That's a nice one, but I would want one that was a bit more decked out. Good to know it's there though, and nice to know you guys are selling for MSRP. I've heard you guys were the "go to" MB dealer in the NW, just wish you weren't so dang far North

Yep - I have a White one that has the Exclusive Nappa Leather; Carbon Fiber Trim; Comfort Package, Adjustable Suspension, AMG Package along with Night Package; $148K range. I went to the people's house to get the complete payment in full last night. That car will be here toward the end of the month. It's pretty much a done deal, but I don't count it till it actually gets delivered.
Where are you at? I'll come to you if need be. We'll make it worth your while. 206-715-0588 or michaelle@mblynnwood.com -- Just let me know whatever that works for you. Hope to meet you in person one day.
