Current wait times on g550 & g63

E450 wagon, C43 AMG Cpe, GLE AMG 63S
Ordered a G 550 mid September '19. Three weeks later received an "estimated " build date of December. Last week received an update that build date had been moved back to November with an estimated delivery of four to six weeks after the build. That would put it on the ground in January some time. We shall see what transpires. Based on the experience of some on this forum seems a little optimistic to me. Don't have a confirmed price but have been assured it is at MSRP or better based on my relationship at the dealership. Long time customer, many (too many??) cars.

G 63 demand still well in excess of supply in most major markets.
Mercedes can only build so many G wagens, they aren't losing any sales. Everything being built has a home.

Production hasn't changed. In some areas G 550 demand is dropping to be more in line with supply.
G 63 demand still well in excess of supply in most major markets.
Mercedes can only build so many G wagens, they aren't losing any sales. Everything being built has a home.

I placed my G550 order in Feb 2021 and I'm still waiting. They are telling me Jan '22 before I get it. I ordered a '21 they are telling me my G550 will be a '22. I frequently check MBUSA website, search for my dealership, check to see if they have inventory. Each time I've checked, they had new inventory so I called them. Salesman told me that MB does that and that those vehicles are already purchased/ordered.
Ask your dealership what number are you on their list. They can tell you where you are on their allocation list. I was #11 when I ordered it in Feb '21. As of 8/2/21 I am #4. Go figure. I will check in with them again in September. Good luck. Let me know what you find out.

MB is pushing as many G as they can this year. If they giving allocations until December the way they gave this month, many of you that are on the list, will get a 2021.

My dealer told me in the summer i was #56 (July) and just told me I’m number #57 (November) for a G63 @ sticker. I got on the list July 2020. I doubt at this point they will honor the MSRP price. I’m debating just cancelling my spot…

How did you move from 56 to 57? Where are you located?
I was #4 in Sept and in Oct I was #6. The sales person told me the sales guy that told me I was #4 was wrong. I think there’s some shady stuff going on.

I'm pretty sure the dealer is playing games that if someone offers them 100k over sticker, they'll move them to the front and if I'm the 50th in line, who cares if I go to 51st. I'm assuming that's what happened. It certainly leaves a bad taste considering I've done business with them before. My guess is it's not even the sales persons fault, but someone higher. I'll just take my business elsewhere.

My 2021 G63 was ordered March15th of this year and is near 2 weeks from being delivered I was told late last week. It made it port side and is close. So basically a bit over 10 months of a wait. Polar white, black interior, trail package, comfort seats. Can't wait to finally enjoy it.
