2019 G 63 Rear Window cracked
Have has my G63 Edition 1 about 2 weeks and today noticed that the rear passenger window is cracked from top to bottom. No signs of distress or outside damage. It just cracked all the way up. Has anyone else experienced this?

[/QUOTEWondering what is going on with all the cracked windows on the new G Wagons. For a vehicle that is supposed to be stiffer than the old model we shouldn’t be seeing all these cracked windows. Could it be poor window fitting at the factory or defective glass manufacturing?

hmm..appears to be a theme with the cracked glass, first front windshields and now rear window.
Has there been temp difference exposure etc for long period of time? i.e., heating inside and driving/parked out in the snow for a long time? Regardless, that shouldn't cause the windows to be cracking. This is a bit concerning...

I only received 2 weeks ago. Prior was sitting at Brunswick, GA since mid-late December. I live in Houston so in February we don’t normally get extreme temperature changes like you guys up north. Summer time. Different story. Took it to dealer this morning and they are working to try and find a replacement window. Will keep you posted if this is classified as a warranty item or not. While it’s a pain. I understand that’s the risk I take every time I order the brand new model of anything. Which is what I do typically with most of my purchases. Early adopter frustrations. First world problems.

yes. It was covered under warranty. I still have my 2019 Edition 1 and still love it as much as I did when I got it in 2019. Hope you’re enjoying yours as well.

Hopefully they will honor the warranty

I had no physical damage of a rock or impact that would have caused my glass to crack. The dealership agreed that it had to be a manufacturing defect with the glass. Either way dealer was cool about it and replaced under warranty. Good luck.
