2019 G63 Minor Issues

Received the G63 two weeks ago. It is amazing. I do have a couple of minor issues that I haven't seen addressed here as yet. First every time I drive it windshield fluid is leaking from the left front corner of the bumper. I went into service 3 days after I purchased it and was told that the reservoir was probably just over filled and it will eventually stop leaking. My thought was that anything that is leaking will eventually stop. I siphoned out probably 1/4th of the fluid 3 days ago and its still leaking so it goes into service Friday morning. Second I cannot get the mirrors to fold upon locking the vehicle. This is turned on under Vehicle/Assistance/Check mark on Fold on Lock. I also have them set to fold on the Mercedes ME phone app. Again it is an amazing vehicle and I am really enjoying it. Just have to get a couple of minor bugs worked out.

Could the cap be lose and spilling out on turns? If you would have got a blue G you never would have this issue :-) hahaha

CUZCO - My mirrors have been folding upon lock just as they should since I got it (3 months ago), but just this week they randomly stopped. I noticed a few other small changes (like the volume level auto adjust to a certain level when you change the song now), and unfortunately an engine light thrown and my fuel gauge now showing zero gas - like 0/100%.

My best guess - There was a software update sent through and it is buggy.

Yes I believe it does since there is a setting called "Auto update" under software.

I will say this, don't bother setting all the settings, including radio resets before you have the Mercedes ME app up and running because when it takes effect it resets everything back to factory presets including wiping out all the presets. I will let you know what I find out Friday on the leak. I suspect it is coming from a bad connection the hose for the left front headlight washer.

Last Friday service had it for 3 hours. I was told to come back on July 9th, drop it off and expect it to be in service for 3 days in case parts need to be ordered. Service adviser said they will remove the left front wheel and inner fender well to get access to the leak.

Like I said I siphoned a good deal of fluid out but that didn't help at all. While in service they ran all the washers a lot including headlights, blue fluid all over the vehicle. It should be noted that the headlight washers will not come on unless the headlights are on, that is not in the owners manual.

It’s typical with all vehicles, including bmw and Porsche

Took it in this morning and just got a call saying to come pick it up and that they can"t find any problem with it. I told them that I didn't want to come pick it up until it's fixed. Starting to get frustrated with this fluid leak. I did show the service adviser JozWagon's picture of his leaking in the exact same place as mine.

991.1 Porsche 911 have similar issue where at high g’s the windshield washer fluid leaks as the connections to the line supplying the fluid to the windshield were weak. They fixed mine a couple of times already on the Porsche- I suspect it’s a similar issue

Just returned from service and I believe it to be fixed, it did not leak at all on the drive home. The bull bar and front bumper did have to be removed but they did an excellent job as I found no issues after my inspection of it. There is an overflow hose that they added 8 inches to.

JozWagon, I am attaching a picture of the repair ticket that you can show your service people, the last sentence explains it.

Great news man. I was going to say. My snowmobile had a reservoir for overfill of my antifreeze and it dripped on the white paint and scared me. I just directed it to a different drip area so I didnt see it. Hope that is all it was for you dude! That was all it was for me.
