G-class rust
Remember that you can access the underside of the door sills by removing a few of the bolts holding the running boards to the car. You can spray directly into the cavity.
absolutely shameful that this made it out of the dealer - A MERCEDES BENZ DEALER
MY MISTAKE - I trusted that they would do their due diligence and that MBUSA would make this right through their franchise.

as I read the CPO coverage - corrosion is not covered. On most modern vehicles this is not even a remote possibility- metallurgy and paint chemistry. There is little chance this dealership didn’t know this car had rust issues- just disgraceful and embarrassing for the brand.

The windscreen rust and wiper retention arm rust are in for body shop work requiring expensive and extensive body work $$$
-Windscreen has to be pulled out and the frame has to be remediated for rust
-Wiper assembly requires replacement- vehicle sent to my local MB dealer to remove DASH assembly in order to the wiper assembly $$$$
The production quality is not what it should be - poorly galvanized metal (MBUSA)
The fact that this was not disclosed by the dealer is another issue all together and one that was absolutely avoidable on the part of EURO MORTORCARS GERMANTOWN MD
Make this right

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
MBUSA has offered a 300$ gift certificate- yea a joke.

very nice person but I’m disappointed in the corporations unwillingness to accept at least some culpability- no production vehicle of this quality has corrosion issues in the last 20 years- this should be a no brainer - make us all customers for life - fix the QA/QC issues with an apology

I'd also look into a professional company that does body panel oil sprays (as opposed to just chassis sprays). Make sure they DO NOT drill holes to perform the oil spray.

Was this G driven in a region where salt is preemptively spread liberally on winter roads?

One thing to note is that it is very difficult to remove the windscreen without cracking it, so I'm getting a new windscreen. This isn't a bad thing because the windscreen was pitted and scratched (the drawback of having a flat and upright windscreen).
Oh and the bumper isn't rusty (it's fiberglass), it just needed to be repainted. Then again, the G is special so fiberglass may in fact rust on it
i had to go back and fourth to see where the ny state plate is hiding on the photo lol.I live in Long island and the shop is at Suffolk county. my friend owns the body shop and he didnt want to do anything with the G wag until I insisted him to do it.
