2019 G 63 offer

Thinking about selling my G, 4800 miles. Prepaid maintenance package, 1st service used.
Brilliant blue w red/black interior.
Was offered 15k over MSRP from an exotic car dealer. Any thoughts?

Selling because I got the offer

Was a great car, had a 2015 one and saw the difference. Will place my name on 2021 list if I sell.

In that case I would actually keep it. My local dealership has a wait list of people willing to pay well over MSRP but I would prefer to enjoy it myself versus starting the entire process over.

It is a good game.

You could trade it on a new one and save almost all of the sales tax...

Take it, that's a solid offer from a dealership. Why mess with private, this is the way to go! 15k+ over MSPR is more than fair if your wanting to sell!

Hi Bob. Depends on the state. California doesn't give any reductions on any tax to anybody for any reason
Fortunately, some states do including Utah and, I presume, Florida.

Early trade at the dealer for the premium price and cancel/transfer your prepaid warranty to your new 2021.

The 2021 DOG ought to be out by June/July.

We need to start a 2021 G63 thread for rumors and facts.

I am waiting on a 2021 and released a late May 2020 build date because I think there are some significant changes coming.

You're getting a great trade in value on that 2019 G63 (noticeably above market). However, if you're trading that car for the sole purpose of getting a new G63, then there has to be other value in addition to the good trade in price for this trade in to make sense. By swapping to a new car you are essentially resetting the depreciation curve and riding the most expensive part of it again, that alone may cost more than the surplus value you are gaining above market value.

In other words, if you feel you want a different spec G63, then this is a good opportunity to reduce the cost of swapping G63. But if you're just going to end up ordering the exact same spec again, then not worth it.

****. Sorry to hear that. But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Too bad you didn’t pull the trigger earlier the same day they offered the deal

As per who? I stopped at my local dealer Saturday and chatted with the Sales Manager and I asked him about the 2021s. He said there is no news and dealers have not received anything from MB other than the production has stopped for now and the plant will remain closed unless there are drastic changes (for the better) this coming week.

Why would you doubt him on that, its common sense. They are only 2 years into the new model, I'd guess at least another 2-3 years before any major updates.
