Hello all. I am debating a color change on my 2020 G550 order. My wife actually likes it from what I could show her online and since it will be primarily hers she gets the call. In the 2020 Order Guide it shows it as a new color but I assume that means for 2020 since it seems it has been used on past G and other models. So, anyone know of one at a dealer now? I looked online for a while and could not find any so if someone sees one please let me know since I would like to see it on the new G. I am getting the Night Package and Black wheels so it should be a nice contrast but it would still be nice to see one. Thanks.
seems like mojave is more 'brown' and desert is more 'gold' in color.
i dont think i've seen any recent mercs in desert silver... pretty rare color.
I don't understand how they come up with pricing for colors though since it seems Desert Silver Metallic could have been one of the free or lower priced options, and not the highest at $6500! Nevertheless, I told my wife to pretend all colors were no charge and to pick the one she liked.
My wife's current SUV is a similar color and yes, very easy to keep clean looking; however, I was kind of hoping she would go with something bolder. But my job is keeping the vehicles clean so I should not complain!

Good catch and yes, they should be Black as per pictures in the 2020 Order Guide, and it states: "Trim elements in the bumper painted in obsidian black". Mine better be Black!
Very strange! I looked at several with the same packages, of which there are many at the dealer, and that is the only one that has Chrome trim on the rear bumper. Again, I will not accept that on mine, and I am replacing the Chrome emblems as well - either Gloss or Matte Black (I have a set of each).
