$1,000 Reward For Anyone Who Buys A New G550/G63 At A Discount Off MSRP
Hear ye! Hear ye!
I'm offering a $1,000 bounty to anyone on this board who successfully negotiates a deal where they purchase a 2020 G550 or G63 at a discount off MSRP. The discount must be $1,000 or more.
For years we have suffered at the hands of greedy and arrogant dealers whose hubris have empowered them to charge ridiculous markups on the G-wagons. For years we have put up with the abuse and insult. These dealers thought they would get away with this injustice forever, but one good thing about the coronavirus is that it has affected every industry of our great economy. I would like to see the greediest of these dealers be put out of business and forced to drink a bowl of bat soup.
Payment of $1,000 reward will be paid via PayPal to the first person who steps forward with a successful hunt.

Thats simply amazing! I plan to get a discount in end of May/early June on my incoming order. Who knows what things will really be like then. Good luck to someone who will surely get $1000 off MSRP sooner than later.

Waiving a Dealer Handling Fee (or whatever they call it in your state) has nothing to do with discount off MSRP.
If you want a "shot" - you might start a relationship with MB Manhattan - they have the largest # G-Wagen's on backorder - and with Covid-NY they will probably have this highest probability of "legitmate" cancellations.
That said - they will also have the "longest customer deposit list" that they can run thru - so starting a relationship remote might be a prudent strategy...

No kidding, which is why I said waiving the dealer fee does not count. And I talked to MB Manhattan before I ordered locally. I could have ordered one at MSRP from them, which is widely known here by reading threads, but why would I buy there for the same price only to pay to have it shipped here? It did not make sense then, or now.

I believe that I may have received the very first ‘19 G550 customer delivery in the country and I applied the $500 MBCA discount to my MSRP deal. It wasn’t much, but it helped them understand I wasn’t going to fall for the dealer’s last minute attempt to add a $10k markup. Apparently, they agreed to the deal before they realized the the new G would be in high demand. At the time of my order, they were still trying to dump the ‘18 G’s at hefty discounts.

I will be getting $500 off from being a member of USAA, which is not a lot in respect to the total cost but add that to the waiver of the $800 dealer fee and it pays for a few accessories!

I saw previously USAA had the $500 bonus cash on their website for the G but it's been missing for awhile. Hopefully you got your deal finalized when it was still available.

Thanks for the info and I just looked and you are correct in that it is no longer there. My dealer told me a while back that they change often and it check it again when the vehicle arrives; my last one must have expired.

I had united airlines / mb fleet partnership program $500 discount applied - not sure if that still exists? And I paid msrp plus free gift of trunk mat

I just looked at my certificate and while it expired in January it was for the 2020 G550. Now it excludes the 2019 G550 and all 2020s but again it changes from time to time so maybe it will be back by the time I am ready.
I am a United Mileage member as well but I could not find out of they still offer the incentive; however, I will call them when it gets close if the USAA incentive does not exist since only one can be applied.
