2021 G Class Information

I thought it was about time to start a thread since based on past years the Order Guild should be out in the next month or so. MB USA told me that the launch of 2021 G Class models is anticipated in last quarter of 2020, which is normally the case, and since the plant was only closed for a month I do not see any big deviations in the schedule.

If someone has useful information pertaining to the 2021 models please post it here!

Was about to order a 2020 g500, but due to current situation, decision has been put on hold.

I wonder what updates will the 2021 get? New steering wheel maybe, touch screen?

I am hoping they will allow it to be ordered without the brush bar here in the US so the front camera can be optioned.

We should at least see the preliminary Order Guide in May...hopefully our dealer forum members release it when they see it!

I think the brush bar is a crash requirement in the US.

no change from rep. hence why i jumped for 2020 vs waiting for 2021. my dealer spoke to their Rep and no changes expected

Honestly having driven a G63 for 3 weeks now I think a touch screen would be difficult at best to reach on this vehicle.

It appears that the 2020 Dealer Order Guide was released on May 29th last year so it should not be long for the release of the 2021 Guide so if someone gets a copy please post it here.

Attached is the 2021 G-550 ordering guide. No 2021 G-63 as of today.

Looks like we are getting wireless charging, a few more colors and some more rim options.

The 2021 G-63 Ordering Guide is now up however file is too large to attach here. Same changes as the G-550 (wireless charging/colors) however no new rim choices.

Edit: here is the "what's new" page

I did not think it would make it for 2021 so I ordered a 2020, and it may not make it in the 2022s so if I were you I would not wait since that is just a small part of the entire package!

How do you know? The G550 Guide does not show pictures for the new colors, wheels, etc. Personally I would like to see China Blue. I searched online and I found this:

Love, love, love the Arabian Grey color - reminds me of a clay color. Very modern! Also re: wireless charging, strange that they mention it in the owner's manual for my MY20 G, but didn't actually implement it. Seems like it was available in other countries for 2019 and 2020, but they're bringing it to the US for MY21.

Am I the only one that cannot see pictures of the new colors, wheels, etc. in the Order Guide? I can Google the colors to see them but they are not showing up in the Guide, which may be due to it being the first release?

I don't see the colors in the order guide, just says "new". I've googled them as well to see them. That Arabian Grey is interesting however
it looks very different in all the images I've found. Looks like it has brown undertones but can't tell if it's a lighter grey (some pics) or darker.
I've seen this in person and it seems very similar.

New 2021 colors
Here are pictures of E63 wagons with Arabian Grey and China Blue. Has anyone seen Deep Green and how does it compare in darkness to the metallic colors emerald green and jade green?
