Thank you - I don't know if this will work for the newer G63's since the bull bar covers the mesh air intake as well. The G550s have holes in the center mesh to screw in the factory mount, but not the G63

Such a pain in the ***. I just threw my plate on the dash until my bracket from 911Motorsports arrived.
Also it's nuts that traffic enforcement is back in action especially w LA shutting back down.
Glad you may have a solution. Curious to see how that works out, looks like a stealthy option, and could help a lot of people here by avoiding the drill!

I wish the 63s had those too! There aren't proper screw mounts in the mesh..the one I ordered should be here in a few days so hopefully it doesn't look too awful
The Sly Bracket is the answer. I installed one on the front of my 2020 G63, and it works perfectly. It's a nice product, well made out of good materials. The installation was a snap. It offsets the plate enough that nothing touches a painted surface. I could have mounted it higher or lower, but put it approximately where the factory plate holder that came with the truck would have been.

Can the plate be directly mounted into the factory screw holes? Or does there need to be some mounting bracket in between? Thanks.
The plate can be mounted directly. It is standard width for US plates.
CORRECTION! The mounting holes will not allow a plate to be mounted directly. They are very discreet holes in the grill mesh that are made to accommodate the front plate bracket about 11" apart. Sorry for the bad info.
I don't know man. When I was living in NYC, I registered my Range Rover Classic in Florida to bypass smog for years, then got caught.
Had to register it in NYC and forgot my license plate up front and my registration sticker.... drove it like that for ages, then on a trip back into the city through the Holland Tunnel I had police in SWAT gear pull me over. Damn near **** my pants. I guess they had a lot of threats that day... got off without a ticket or warning since they liked the truck and one guy was restoring one.
Short story, you don't want to be caught without front plates in on the wrong day. In NYC or LA, since they will ticket your car anywhere even parked on public roads.
Just installed in 10 mins. Positioned a little lower than I would have liked, but I can readjust later. Very adjustable and glad I didn't have to drill holes in the bumper!

I have the white plate on my silver G55, and a custom black plate on my black E63.
