G63 Avoided Accident Today

One more reason I'm so happy I bought this car - while most modern cars have accident avoidance systems, I was shocked by how quickly my 2020 G63 braked today to avoid a rear end collision (a banged up car abruptly swerved in front of me and braked at a yellow light in Beverly Hills begging for me to hit them - looked it up and this is a common scam). Seat bolsters in multi contour seats inflated, the seat adjusted itself, and the car braked so fast in a matter of 2 seconds. Can't say that my 2015 G63 would have saved me in the same way! Be safe everyone!!!

As an aside, hope the very STRONG braking today will eliminate the squeaking coming from the high performance brakes at low speeds! lol

This is why I advocate for driver safety systems, especially collision detection and avoidance.

Glad the safety systems worked as they should. Hopefully you got the tag number and occupant descritions to the police.

Glad you are okay. Another reason everybody should be running a dash cam. Not sure it would have protected you in a rear end accident but better than just your word versus theirs

A very common insurance scam that the G detected! Perps will look for high end vehicles and try to get rear ended and then claim back injuries, etc. Odds are there were more than one occupant as well.
