Got this from the government.
I’ll keep you all posted. This email took about a week for someone to reply to.

Generally speaking, EPA cannot comment on pending certification matters as this is considered confidential business information. However, if you can let me know specifically which model you are referring to, I will see what I can find out.

Regards.

I reserved a "early December" build slot in August and just got the word that my car is now scheduled to roll off the line on 11/26 and I should have it at the dealer in "late December." Doesn't help with the launch date but good to know that things seem to be a couple weeks ahead on builds.
cheers

My car is scheduled for production of 10/30. 2 more days lol! How long does it take to physically manufacture a G63 now? 1/2/3/4 days?

My car was scheduled for 10/21 and I received the VIN from my sales associate that day. Seems like the VIN is generated when the vehicle is done, so it may be the production date is when its done?

Haven't received an update on shipping, but I know it has to travel to port next. Until the EPA certifies and MB releases I'm not going to sweat it, but mentally I'm preparing for an early December delivery.

I got my truck's VIN from my salesperson on October 17 and my car has been produced and is in Graz waiting to get on the train to the port. I talked to my salesperson today and he told me realistically I should be in my car in Miami and driving it before Christmas. So, looks like it'll definitely be December for us. He said no chance I will have my car delivered to me by December 1st. Getting excited! I'm going to list my current G class for sale this weekend!

A gaggle of MB's
E-Man - easy to get confused on what we have gone over together - it's familiar territory/language for me - your VIN# was assigned on 10/15 - was finished in Graz on the 20th -transported by Sunday train on the 25th - arrived Port early morning Monday the 26th.
I flipped out on Graz on Mon 26th when it didn't show at Port - I emailed my Graz Distro guy that morning to say "WTF my G63 this week didn't make the train - it's mine WTF" as I told you turns out Graz calls Port- "WTF" - Port was 2-days behind on check-in - so Port confirmed there on the 28th - lazy dog's - to kiss-and-make-up Port assigned to a Vessel today - one day assignment is super slick - we should have that vessel schedule Monday - and so far we are ahead about 8 days from schedule I gave you in August.
It's strategically placed Irish Whiskey last Christmas at Graz - this Christmas it will be Scotch Whisky - it's a Whiskey/Whisky mini-cartel !

I ordered mine January 7, it was built October 19 and I am hoping to be tracking the ship early next week. Hoping it isn't stuck in Brunswick too long.

Got this today from my Sales Person. Very likely going to be joining all his friends at the Port until MB NA releases them all one by one.

Why would you want to insure it until you take delivery? My insurance transfers to the new vehicle, I have 30 days to notify my insurance company. I have my VIN, but I don’t own it yet, I don’t have title to it. Seems like a waste of money.

This is just when it arrives in the US. It could still sit at the port for an undetermined amount of time. Mine has already been sitting at the port for a while as I had one of the first '21s off the line. Fingers crossed they get released soon!

Yeah, we're not going to be driving our new G's until right before the holidays. I think around mid-December before the holidays. Either way it'll be here before we know it!

Yesterday the ne car manager told me the 21's were originally thought to be released around the first of December but now he is thinking it may well be mid November. Hoping that is true, my ship hasn't sailed as yet.

Interesting, wondering what keeps moving the timeline forward/backward.

it’s the EPA, blame the federal government, not Mercedes.

Frankly - it's just Sales Advisor's yapping to make conversation... the one's that talk like that just want to feel "bigger" about themselves as compared to you/the guy who is actually BUYING the G

I just got an order slot with a PO.

Was put on the list in August and got lucky and a spot opened up for a February build that will arrive mid march. I still have time to change stuff around, so I might change my color combo from China Blue/white interior back to the olive green mago or the bronze magno.

Any idea on how long a factory order takes to be accepted/built/delivered to Canada? My dealer is telling me my build is end of December but probably early January with the holidays and so on and says ETA is March?

Cheers

Off Topic: Seems like lots of Gs are coming. How do you folks planning on closing your deal? Cash, Lease, Finance? Money Down, No Money Down? How are MB Financial Service's Rates for 84 months Buy/Sell, Tier 1 with no rate markup?
