Renntech BBK

Thought I would try my luck here to see if I can get some answers. My 06 G55 came with Renntech BBK when I purchased it. Now it’s time to redo the brakes with new rotors and pads. I have inquired with Renntech via email to see if I can get some specs on rotor size and pad size but no joy. They sell the entire kit as a whole from what I gathered so far. Only need the rotors and pads. My independent shop is confused on what parts to order. The rotors look Mercedes OEM(maybe off of S65) but they are lost on pad size. They think the calipers and pads are Porsche parts. I am all for spending extra $$ to do the job right but wondering if I can source my own parts that match Renntech kit that the car came to me with. Any insight on this would be much appreciated. Looking for rotor size and pad part number? Thank you in advance.

Renntech uses calipers from AMG (or the Volkswagen counterparts), which are manufactured by Brembo and then refinishes it. The pads are are paired to whichever caliper they chose, which are from various different vendors.

Thank you Jonny. Would you want to hazard a guess which calipers ( example of what car model )that uses 4 pads per caliper? I have never seen such set up.

Thanks.

It is either the AMG 8-piston or Audi counterpart. The Audi version has a distinct bar on the caliper bottom. In most cases, they can interchange pads; but have their own parts. They are derived from the Brembo GT 8 Pistons.

Your caliper should have a part number on it.

call or email Brembo USA directly at http://racetechnologies.com they'll be able to cross reference to their own part numbers.

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
Racing Brake also likely can help - they have solid options for most of the vendors for lighter rotors and pads.

Thank you for the referral and I believe we can help.
MB's 8 pot caliper is among many other calipers in our caliper rebuild matrix where you can order your caliper rebuild kits

Brake pads:

Rotors:
We have light weight two piece replacement rotors for MB pretty much covering all late models/years, but since yours is a retrofit so if you can post up your brake set up picture it would be helpful to identify.
