Check engine light on - 150 miles from home (and nearest dealer)

This is what is so annoying about present day automobiles -- they have more computing power than what sits on your office and home desks combined, and any ECU could easily provide you the OBDII code and interpretation on the infotainment screen, but instead all you get is a check engine light that's completely meaningless, and causes you great inconvenience and undue panic.

As for the OP's issue, did you check that your gas cap is on tightly? A lose cap can cause a CEL (which will self clear after a few drive cycles once the cap is tightened).

In other news, I got exactly 20MPG on the 130 mile trip home. Pretty good for a G550 if you ask me.

I should add that on the way to my destination, I averaged 18.9 MPG, so averaging the two out, I got 19.5MPG round trip. Still, a great result for a 388 HP rolling brick.
