285/50/R20 Tires on G63 HELP!

285/50/R20 Tires on G63 HELP!
Hi guys! I just got new tires for my G63 W463. The stock are 275/50/R20 Advan STs and I needed all seasons for the winter time. So I bought Michelin Defenders 285/50/R20, after installing, I see that on the bottom it's being crushed pretty bad that the side walls of the tires are budging out. Is this normal? Should I fill more air in the new tires? I've filled it to 35 PSI with nitrogen, recommended was 32/33. Or these tires aren't a great fit for my rims? Any help would be appreciated! thanks!

got a pic? 285 on a 9.5 is pretty normal even for lower profile, 40 or 35, series tires

I've even put 295/40/20 tires on a 9.0" width wheel (not for a G) and it didnt bulge that way.

might be possible its not on even pavement. I noticed the tire is sitting on an uneven driveway. the other tires are like that I assume?

You can probably increase to 40psi without issue. Max is 50psi for those tires. Load rating index looks fine when compared to the OEM Pirelli's but it does look pretty 'flat'.

I have Defenders on my Wrangler during summer months (different size though), and they don't bulge at 35 psi. However, it's a much lighter weight vehicle.

somewhat, but when I change the location of the driveway, the passenger front ones are still bulging the most. I filled it to 37 and it is a little better, may have to fill it to 40..

Also the others don't bulge as much. Could it be this tire is defective?

then thats an indication its just that one tire. I would have that looked at or even just remounted

P.S. also check the date code on the tires if its under 90 days

did you fill your fronts to 40 psi? It looked better when filled it to 40

Its a 4-digit code on the sidewall that shows the week and year of production. ideally it should be within 3 months from sale.
