How to open a spare wheel latch on Gclass

So I bought this car secondhand so I don't have any idea where's the key to open this, tried different ways on Youtube like putting on WD40 and flat screws but it won't work. Any thoughts or ideas? Here's the video https://drive.google.com/file/d/1os-...Lx1fW6VaR/view of me trying to fix it.

Drill out the tumbler and replace it. New tumbler is about $100

Dealer should be able to help you out. I don't think these locks are keyed uniquely, so there's likely a one size fits all solution. The 2019+ wheel covers have only a slot that you turn with a screw driver blade.

Try pushing up on the lever as you turn the slot with a flat blade screwdriver

If you don't have the key, then the easiest solution will be to drill out the lock and replace.

You can buy a replacement here:

On the off-chance that your tire ring isn't super tight, you can try to close the gap by pushing on the ring, and maybe it will be enough for the latch hook to come out. One way to do this is to put a ratchet strap around the ring to really compress it. I don't think it will work but you can try.

And letting a bit of air out of the tire might help if you can reach the valve stem.

Hope you've not been out on the freeway with a flat while all this advice has been pouring in.

VERY carefully -- unless you want a hole in your tire (lol).
No luck getting a key from a dealer?

How about calling a lock smith? They should be able to open it and make a key for you.
