Has anyone gone BACK to stock lights from LED on G500?
I’m wondering if anyone has reverted their LED exterior lights on an early 2000s G500 back to stock. The previous owners of my ‘02 G500 put LED side marker lights, LED license plate lights, and swapped out the headlamp bezels for ones with integrated LED DRLs. I may be in the minority here, but I can’t stand the LED lights, especially the headlamp bezels that have the integrated DRLs. I feel it ruins the look of the older Gs for me and was curious if anyone has swapped out any LED lights for the stock ones and if so, was it an involved process?
Absolutely no hate on anyone that wants to upgrade the lights on their G to LEDs! Just not the look I want on mine.

Following. I don’t imagine it’ll be difficult. Would likely require removing resistors that were soldered in.

It will be as easy as 'unplug the new LED stuff" and "plug in the old stuff with correct halogen bulbs.
Since LED lights/bulbs are always hit or miss, there is a good chance that load resistors were wired in to cancel the dash errors, so there may be some hackery done to the wiring. You won't know until you start taking things off.

When you get around to swapping the headlights, would you mind sharing pics of what you had there installed by the previous owner and what, if any, resistors were attached to them (assuming no faults thrown on the dash)? Not all LED lights work and manage not to throw error codes....
