New here and question on skid plates

Hi everyone, new here to the forum (sort of), purchased a 2013 G63 with 64k miles. Loving it and learning its nuances. I have a question about the front skid plate. I’m looking to change it out to the special edition version that Merc did in 2018. I prefer to buy a good quality aftermarket as opposed to a brand new OEM one. Any suggestions on a good quality brand? I want stainless steel, not aluminum of course. Thanks in advance!

They're all junk, I bought 3 knock off skid plates at various price points. I finally bit the bullet and bought the factory one. The fit and finish is much better than the knock offs and it is much thicker. Added the TC and fuel tank skid plate as well.

Thank you for the heads up. I’ll look into the oem one. Do you happen to have the part number?

Have a look at the ORC (Off Road Company) website. They are based in Germany and have quaility kit. I have one of their rear skid plates on my 2016 G63 and it is very solid.

I recall that Jack's Overlanding (based in Texas) imports them into the states. Check his website as well.

I'm curious to get the OEM part number as well. Searching for "front skid plate" brings up this but I can't tell from the diagram if it's the right part or not. Can anyone confirm?

that’s the regular black steel plate. The part number I posted is the one that comes on the G65
