Adding 20" G63 Wheels on G550, Do I need Different Lug Nuts

I have a '13 G550. I'm adding 20" G63 wheels next and trying to figure out if I need different lug nuts.

Also, need new tires and based on what I've researched / read, I'm probably going with BFG 275/55/20s or something close to that. Not much out there in the stock 275/50/20s. Comments welcome. Thx

If your wheels are OEM Mercedes (not replica or aftermarket), your lugs should be fine. If the are replica/aftermarket wheels you will need to comfort the appropriate lug nuts required..

As for 275x55x20s, they will be fine....that is the size I am running

That's what I thought, but always good to double-check. Thx!

So when I got new wheels and tires I decided to install titanium studs so I wouldn't have so much trouble getting the wheels on and also I could get creative with the lug nuts I used. I'm pretty happy with it so far!

The 20's are on. What a big change from the 18's. Tires are Goodyear Ultraterrain / 265/55/20.

If the G63 wheels are OEM Mercedes, your stock lug nuts should work fine. If aftermarket, check if they need conical or ball-seat nuts wrong type can be dangerous. Double-check fitment before driving hard. Looks sharp, enjoy the upgrade.

Are you running spacers? The tire fit looks great

No spacers. I am very happy with how they look. Tires are 265/55/20 Goodyear Ultraterrains, and I got a screaming deal on the wheels on eBay. I'm keeping my old wheels/tires for now, so I bought new TPMS sensors.

Mounting wheels that use lug bolts is easier using hanger pins, such as these:
Amazon Amazon

Screw in 2 hanger pins and slide the wheel on. Then screw in 2 lug bolts. Remove the hanger pins and screw in the remaining 3 lug bolts. Tighten and torque.

Those do look great, the fit looks right on, and with no spacers ???? I just pick up some of these wheels localy for my incoming G55 and was about to order some spacers, but seeing this maybe I should hold off on the spacers ??

Do you know the G63 wheel specs ? 20 x ?? ET ?? vs stock wheeels ? Maybe there is a tread on G-Class wheel specs already ??

.

I don't know the specs but I'm sure there are easy to find, No spacers and no rubbing. There is a guy on youtube that added the same wheels on his G55. No issues.

From what I've read, the people that add spacers are looking for a little more 'poke' or are accommodating a larger tire size or they added the larger G63 fender flares. For what its worth, I put 285's on my 18s and hated the look. It was too much tire without some sort of lift. That's just me, others seem to like that.

Can you check your Ebay listing, maybe it has the specs ?

Doing some research, it looks like there could be 2 sizes or OEM G63 AMG 20" wheels - 20x9.5 ET50 ... or ... 20x8.5 ET32 ....... Also there are several other "FAKE" AMG G63 AMG 20" wheels with all different specs.

Here you go.
Part # A4634013002
9.5J x 20 ET 50

When your looking around, the 'replica' wheels don't say AMG. Good luck with your search.
