Keyless Entry on G Wagon
As I anxiously await on my G550 to arrive and I have been watching videos with reviews and it recently dawned on me that the G wagon has never had Keyless Entry! While I understand that Mercedes has kept the traditional door handles, I don't agree that spending a base price of $130k for any G wagon that a feature such as this is not included.
With technology so far advanced throughout the auto industry, and Mercedes being a leader in technology, I full expect Mercedes to some how incorporate this into their Flagship SUV! Unless there is some other reason that I am not aware of? I think this is absurd!
With that being said, does anybody know of any aftermarket keyless entry devices?

Mercedes G-class doesnt have a lot of features which really makes me angry and on top of that, pricing is so horribly expensive.
Its just we like it and we love it.
but I will make sure, no one else buys it after me in my circle, and better save for some other better cars.

Which yr/ model do you drive?
I am baffled that nobody has created an aftermarket keyless entry device that you can attach to your key, or an additional remote which uses NFC or bluetooth. As you approach the vehicle the doors unlock...

they kept the old door handles... which means there are no sensors in the door handles, unlike other mercedes vehicles with those sensors that allow you to have the keyless entry function. if given the choice between keyless entry and having the awesome door clunk and locking mechanism, i choose the classic set up. i am willing to put up with the 'inconvenience' of no keyless entry.
there are a lot more compromises with a G other than keyless. wait till you find out bout the wind noise, bad gas mileage and excessive windshield cracking!

No cup holders, no wireless charging, no keyless entry -- these missing ammenities killed the Trabant. Let's hope MB learns from the demise of its erstwhile competitor.

Features added to 2025
If this concerns you the G is not for you. Get a Range Rover or GLS. The G experience is so much more than that, clearly you don't understand that it was never meant to be a "luxury" vehicle. Take it off roading and then see what it's all about. The keyless entry will suddenly become a non-issue.
Hopefully we can order the 2025 OEM Mercedes Benz keyless go door handles and retrofit them to our 2024. Mechanically it will probably fit but unsure about how to pair the handles with the existing key.
Honesty, I’m afraid to take my G63 off road. Maybe a G550? That’s what my Toyota Land Cruiser is for. It’s a much better price point and doesn’t hurt as bad if it gets dings and dents.

I think you can get a new RR for that much and has keyless entry, soft-close doors, auto parking, touch screen, wireless carplay....
Sorry dont mean to be snarky but you're missing the whole point. Most of us want LESS electronics, not more.

My '95 Jeep Wrangler has mechanical key locks on its doors and the ignition key is on the locking steering column. But since it's a 5-speed stick, I never need to lock it, so I guess it's keyless entry (lol).
